The «quote» does not include any insurance. They read you the riot act about your credit card coverage and that you are probably not covered. Their insurance rate is more than the car rental!
I called my card and I WAS in fact covered but it depends on your card. Check before you get there.
Then we had to wait 45 minutes in line for a van to actually GET to the cars.
Then, when I turned the car in, the bill was like 80 € more than the quote. There was a «premium facility charge» and a 30 € «administrative charge» for DECLINING THEIR INSURANCE! They brought it down some after I argued with them. I know the name is Avis but not quite the same as the service you get in the states.
The car was fine and I’m pretty sure that all the rental places do the same thing.
