Specialties
At The Apple Farm we grow apples, but also strawberries, raspberries, plums and cherries, which we sell directly from our farm shop.
We also make jams and jellies from our fruits, and juices too. Amoung the juices are apple, apple and raspberry, sparkling (lightly carbonated) juices, and Cornelius’s lemonades.
And of course apples are great for making cider and cider vinegar, so we have those too, also available from our shop.

History
Established in 1968.
Willem and Ali Traas moved from The Netherlands to Ireland in 1968, with the aim of setting up a fruit farm. That was a generation ago, but the business is still owned and operated by the family, and their dream of growing enough apples to supply one to every person in Ireland has almost come through.
Meet the Business Owner
Cornelius T.
Business Owner
Cornelius (Con for short) is the fruit grower on the farm. Apart from harvesting the sumptious strawberries, ravishing raspberries, amazing apples… (you get the idea), he organises the juice-making and makes sure the shop is fully stocked with all the delicious farm products.
His favorite job is tasting the fruit, to make sure that they are just right.
