This was a great 5-star hotel in Kingscourt. The hotel is huge and has a very cool driveway into the rooms in the back. They had a few huge Great Danes walking around the grounds that kept to themselves. The view of the grounds were breathtaking.

The view driving up through the grounds and golf course was beautiful… Don’t unload your bags at the reception… Most rooms have parking near by. The interior is quite beautiful. Suits or armor, old paintings and photos. Two Irish Wolf Hounds to greet your at the door. Nice well tempered… one was usually asleep in the sun. Access to the interior parking/car park was through a very narrow entrance, like going into a square village. Rooms are very nice with windows on both sides of the room to get a great cross breeze. My biggest disappointment was NO WiFi in the rooms. ONLY in the front public area. We didn’t try any of the food at the hotel.

We loved this place from Oscar the Castle dog to the golfing. Fixed menu was reasonable and the roast duck I had was outstanding. Only distraction was a large tour bus group that included some annoying people.

When you pull into this place there is about a half mile long drive leading up to a beautiful castle and golft course. The landscape is beautiful and the inside is very cozy and nice. Was at a wedding there this weekend it and was perfect, The staff were very friendly and making jokes with all the guests and the meal was wonderful. We were in the function room and it was beautifully decorated with big chandeliers and carved ceilings which actually sparkled!!! I thought this place was really beautiful and has a complete castle feel even though it has been renovated to be a hotel. There are a few suits of armor, a few busts, and loads of antique mirrors around the place. I didnt spend the night here but other mentioned that it was a bit expensive for the rooms which were basic enough and kind of small for a 5 star hotel. For a small wedding I would absolutely recommend this location as it is breathtaking but not overwhelming size wise

I was excited to stay at a castle and it was really more of a hotel pretending to be a castle. It was a nice stay though and very comfortable.
