History

Established in 2000.

Established by Harry Kerr and Martha McCulloch, the first full-​time professional studio in Inishown. Working from their studio in the heart of Buncrana, Memory Factory’s photographers are skilled, creative professionals with a wealth of photographic experience. Their studio portraits are simple, classic and clutter free. Their wedding and event photography is elegant, understated and seeks to convey the unique quality of each event.

Business Owner

The Memory Factory is a Partnership of Martha McCulloch and Harry Kerr, both graduates of Glasgow School of Art Fine Art Department. After graduating Martha spent several years teaching degree level photography at Sheffield Hallam University, was the fist Director of Street Level Photoworks Glasgow, then Lecturer in photography at Glasgow School of Art before relocating to Buncrana in 2000. After graduating Harry was artist in residence at Summerlee Heritage Trust, Coatbridge, then their resident graphic designer for a number of years. He subsequently worked as Technical Assistant in Fine Art Photography at Glasgow School of Art till he moved to Buncrana to establish the Memory Factory. Both work on their own personal photographic projects when time allows and they continue to keep abreast of new trends in the field of photography.
