I got married here. When it came to checking out the venue ahead of time, I was delighted to see that the staff were eager to show me the room. I was told that I can get a discounted room on my wedding day and to call a bit in advanced for that. That sounded awesome given this place has a sauna, steam room, and a hot tub. We ended up not staying so I can not tell you much about how the rooms are, however, no other hotel in Bray has the luxuries of steam room, sauna, and hot tub The first drink as a married woman was at Royal Hotel and it was disappointing. My father-in-law and I helped carry the drinks the table; no staff offered to carry it over. I had a White Russian and there must of been less than a shot in there; it tasted as if I was drinking only milk. I prefer stiff drinks, but my husband does not and usually tells me if I make my drink too strong. I had him sample it to have a second opinion, you know, perhaps I was too harsh. Well, he thought I ordered a glass of milk. That one drink was enough for us to take the late afternoon of drinking towards the seafront. Oh! I love how they allowed my dog to be present at the wedding.

I love this hotel and return time and time again. The staff are so helpful and will sort any problems you may have in a second. This is a really child friendly hotel and my children love it here. Family rooms are very spacious and warm. They are well equiped with tea & coffee and plenty of spare pillows and blankets. Good choice of TV channels too. Breakfast is good(but can be busy during peak times) and there is a games room for the kids. The pool is a good size and has a children splash pool. There is also a jacuzzi, staem room and sauna for adults and a gym. Various beauty treatments are also available. The bar is expensive but has plenty of live entertainment during busy periods. It is located on the main street, just a short walk from the beach and promanade where there are plenty of cafes and pubs. The main street has many little shops and eateries too. My only complaint is that the lift is a bit scary and small! Well worth going, especially if you have children. Very welcoming hotel :):)

The royal hotel offered a warm welcoming service, clean well furnished rooms obviously prepared to a high standard. The health club on site offered extensive oppurtunity for healthy recreation, and the snug bar complimented well for that quiet drink after working out. The restaurant service was exceptional, and the food was fantastic!!! Lovely irish breakfasts and live entertainment in the foyer most nights. A lovely place to stay, and well worth a visit!
