If you’re a fan of Ballykissangel, this is a must stop. Some of you may have no clue what I am about and therefore, going here may be worth nothing at all. We only had drinks but my Irish Coffee was delish(maybe a tad overpriced). Ballykissangel episodes play non-stop on the televisions and there are tributes to the different characters around the bar. The outside looks exactly the same and is great for a few photo ops.

We stopped here for a pint, tea and scone. Great bar, good service. although the tea and scone were on special, they were a bit pricey. Access to the restrooms was like an obstacle course, I would hate to attempt to access with a few pints in me. Fun visit, I would come back.

crappy place. one look at the place; and we were out of there. it didn’t look clean. and it’s like a semi-fast foods place that you have to order at the counter.

One of the highlights of my day trip through Co. Wicklow was coming to Avoca and seeing all the Ballykea sights, most importantly, Fitzgeralds! Great pub, great people. Would definitely visit again!

This restaurant/pub of «Ballykissangel» fame has kept it’s on screen name to attract tourists. It’s a cozy place with a nice atmosphere thanks to it’s mostly wooden decoration. The service is great — food seems to be pre-cooked in large amount, because we had ours only 3 minutes after ordering. Despite that, it’s very tasty, I had a very good Chicken Curry and my company enjoyed a very good Irish stew. The prices are average — or very much below average if you’re here from Dublin.
