I went in after reading some reviews. Honestly, it looked like another dirty HK foot massage place. Kinda run down and you might bring home some little friends if you sit on the chairs.

Love it! Great therapists and service. The spa is very clean and relaxing. I love it when i can go to this place. It’s always a fabulous experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who deserves some pampering.

I’ve had a some soreness and stiffness in my neck and shoulders. Today I decided to go get a massage. After looking at a few reviews on expat sites, I decided to try Zenjoy in Wanchai. It just at 151 – 155 Johnston Rd on the 9^th floor. Just a short walk from my flat.
Its not a swanky spa but the staff was welcoming and atmosphere was pleasant. I didn’t need an appointment. They took me in right aways. I requested a 45 minute aromatherapy massage. I was asked if I wanted any to focus on any specific areas. I mentioned neck and shoulders.
The masseuse did just that and pretty much found every sore spot and knot in my neck, shoulders and back. I was very pleased with the massage I received and it only cost HK$ 138. I think very good value for the money. I will be going back.

You know those days when you’re feeling dull, weather isn’t great but… you don’t really feel like going to a noisy café nor want to stay at home??? I hear you. And I have a great plan for you: just go for a massage. Believe when I say it is one of the greatest things Hong Kong can offer.
Now, here is the tricky thing: there are tons of places to choose from, and prices vary significantly. Just be aware that more expensive doesn’t always mean better.
I had been recommended this place by a colleague, had registered it in my mind and then forgot about it. But as I found myself in the situation I described above, I did a quick search (I remembered the name) and decided to spontaneously drop by to see if they had any free slot.
Zenjoy is located on the 9^th floor of a high rise in Johnston Street and they have two different areas: one for ladies only and one for men and ladies. I went straight into the ladies and was welcomed by a lovely receptionist. The place itself wasn’t exactly a cozy one, so don’t expect it to be fancy. It’s an old flat turned into a massage place without much thought placed on decoration of any kind. I went for an aromatherapy massage (45 minutes, 138 HKD).
The room and towels were clean and it was very quiet. The lady led me to a room and I just enjoyed the next 45 minutes.
The massage was good, I wouldn’t say excellent, just good. The only annoying thing was that she didn’t remove the oil when she finished (although, surprisingly it didn’t feel sticky afterwards). She did check on me a few times to make sure I wasn’t hurting and she focused on my shoulders (my Achilles heel) which was to be thanked for.
All in all, great value for money. Just don’t expect more than a well done massage.
My mission that night was accomplished; I was feeling a lot happier and relaxed and was on my way to bed.
