When I saw this little restaurant from the outside, I was beyond excited. I lived in Japan for 3 years and I was of course missing it. Everything was very on point. From the menu to the napkins. I must add here, that was one thing I did not miss but I’m not really complaining. The waiters however gave me the most awkward looks. It’s almost as if they didn’t know how to approach me. I felt uncomfortable but my desire to eat ramen was strong. Eventually I was seated and after what felt like forever of looking back and forth between me and waiters I was finally able to order. The ramen was amazing and tasted authentic. But I wish they had the option of thick and thin noodles. There was a beef bowl dish that tasted decent but not Japanese level good. The yuzu soda that came with it was just syrup and soda water. On top of everything it was pricey. Therefore, I wanted to eat my worth. At least until my stomach was hurting. But nonetheless the ramen was good.

A very casual Japanese style restaurant that is good value for what you get with the price that you pay. They have your stand menu that periodically changes as well as seasonal promotional menu items. Don’t expect to have great sushi/sashimi as hot and cold food items are there stronger points. Rice dishes in stone pots are a safe bet. Drink menu is good and a decent variety that ranges from the standard soft drinks and beers to mocktail/cocktail and spirits. Waiting periods on weekends and after 19:00 on weekdays can be quite long
