Normally if you wish to be able to watch a chef cook your food on a sizzling pan, you probably end up spending at least a few hundreds to get your front row seat. However, I did not expect to have a chef showcasing his cooking skills right before my eyes with just less than a hundred.
Yup. I found a place at the Olympian City (I have to say that I am still very thankful Olympian City has not turned all stuck up and charged its lessees a fortune until it is left with all fancy restaurants. Checked out the menu, I realized the price range is huge. Some are as cheap as HKD$ 40 but the last one on the menu (Tiger prawn) is at eighteen hundreds! Anyways, I am sure there must be some ballers around the neighborhood — certainly not me.
I ordered some skewers. And they were cooked in front of us right away and got served in front of us, which was exactly what I wanted. The seasoning was very minimal so the food was not too salty at all. Overall, I am rather pleased with this place and I will come back again.
A few notes though, please do tell the manager that you want to sit at the bar before you walk in, sometimes they sit customers at the normal tables and you cannot see anything from there. Also, Make sure you come early, as a place that is rather economic, you would expect the huge crowds during peak hours. And last but not least — enjoy your show!
