Want cheap Cantonese cuisine in the middle of Central for bargain prices? If so, head here!
Had some out of town friends visiting who requested Cantonese cuisine so another friend recommended this place. Best to make a booking especially seeing there were 8 of us and we were out on the second floor. There are lifts for the elderly or lazy people like us.
We were surrounded by locals so clearly only the expats didn’t know about this place. The sound of mahjong playing over the movable wall cemented the authenticity of this joint.
Food wise, as mid autumn festival is coming up, thy had this crazy deal for $ 1880 for 6 people which included soup, suckling pig, lobster with noodles, abalone, stirfry shellfish, whole steamed fish, conpoy in zucchini, chicken, fried rice, wonton, red bean soup with black sesame glutinous rice balls and fruit. I had to ask if the price was per person or for 6 as this was a seafood heavy meal and we are in central after all!
We had 8 people and thought, surely the dishes can’t be that big given the price so we ordered 2 additional vegetable dishes and a mushroom/​beef stirfry. Well, everything was decently portioned and there was no way we could finish everything.
I mean, was everything masterfully cooked? Probably not. There wasn’t that many lobster pieces, noodles were overdone though flavoursome. Abalone a bit chewy but all in all pretty enjoyable and the beef dish was amazing!
Total bill came to around $ 2500, that’s around $ 315 pp for this seafood feast and 6 takeaway containers of food. Seriously value. Bring your friends and empty stomachs.

Good traditional Chinese food. We ordered a set dinner for 7 people and felt like it could feed 10. The courses include suckling pig jellyfish appetizer, lobster yee main, abalone and mushroom, and too many others.
Price was pretty steep, was approx $ 220 USD but service was impeccable.
