The Vermicelli House

There are simply too many noodles places in Hong Kong. When it comes to Lung Mun area, you have to agree there are way too many restaurants here and it seems like they are rather competitive — sometimes cut throat I have to say. For me, this Yunnan noodle place did the best Chinese pancake I have ever tasted given the price and stuff. Notice that they only serve that during afternoon tea set after two thirty. Whenever I do not get to have lunch because of work, part of me wants that because I have more reasons to come here and get the Chinese pancakes.
The pancakes are not extremely oily but have a pleasant texture and chewy enough. With the curry sauce, I cannot really say how much I love it. I ordered the Chinese pancakes with two more deep fried chicken wings and also a bowl noodle with Cha Siu. The noodles were fine and I have to say the chicken wings were too burnt and I felt bad after eating them as I was worried about pimples coming out. Luckily that did not happen but I have to say, the Chinese pancakes are the star here and if you get to try that, I am sure you will agree with me.
There are several branches like this around Hong Kong but since this one is the closest to me and that was why I opted for this one. As a matter of fact, I come here at least twice a month. So yeah — I am a fan!
