My favorite thai restaurant in the town. Located in Wan Chai(2 restaurants) Very good traditional dishes for a really good price(HKD48) for a pad thai or fried rice. The service is ok but can be better. I still recommended this place for the Thai food lover. See you soon! :)

You might be able to cram into this small restaurant, but after the meal, I’m not sure if you can walk back out… The food here was delicious and affordable! We came here for a late night dinner as we had the Thai food craving. The first one we wanted to go to closed early at 8pm, so we walked a couple of blocks to arrive to this little gem. If you’ve always been how I used to be at Thai restaurants, ordering the safe dishes like green curry, Panang curry and the rest of the curries, Pad Thai, drunken noodles, chicken satay, then maybe you’d wanna try some other Thai stuff here, because this place is really authentic and the chef cooks good food. I highly recommend their cold appetizers such as the spicy papaya salad with salted crab and the minced pork salad. The dishes don’t taste simple as they sound because of all the special Thai herbs and spices they use. As a person who has never attempted cooking Thai dishes before, how they cook always baffles me. Watch out for the Thai spicy level. I’d go with a 3 only if you just want a little bit of kick. If you can do a Thai 10, more power to you! The papaya salad with salted crab, as the name spells out, can be a bit on the salty side, so it’s good if you have some white rice as a filler. The minced pork salad is to be eaten like a Chinese chicken wrap where you scoop the minced pork into the cup-shaped lettuce leaf and shove it into your mouth. The one hot dish I absolutely devoured was the stir-fried morning glory Thai style! It tastes like what a lot of HK locals would refer to 夠穫氣 which literally means«enough wok essence» Yeah it sounds so dumb… What it means is there is enough fire, heat and power to make a good stir-fry! The curries there were just okay, but definitely decent enough to fulfill your curry cravings. To wrap the meal up, how can we forget the mango sticky rice! I made my own mango sticky rice before, so I know what’s good and not, and this place got it right! The rice was chewy and soft, and the coconut sauce had the right consistency and flavor. The mango would not be in season in the winter so it might taste a bit sour, but it wouldn’t be their fault, so if you want a perfect mango sticky rice, order during the summer. Definitely a good spot for Thai food in Wan Chai!

Small place but great authentic food. Make sure to arrive before normal eating hours, otherwise you may have to wait in queue. Definitely would be a regular if I lived here. Only downfall is they do not accept credit cards.

This little Thai place comes second in my preferences when it comes to Thai food in Wan Chai. It’s small enough to make you think it’s more authentic and after being there a couple of times I can say, their food is authentic too. It’s tasty, it’s cheap and the service is efficient. Unless you order something less common(as my sister did once, fried fish salad) food usually arrives pretty quickly. Although it’s very well located, at the entrance of busy Amoy Street, we’ve always found a couple of free seats in the evening, odd for such a small place. I always order a curry and sometimes I add a side, normally morning glory. And they are consistent with the quality and flavor of their curries: smooth, a little sweet and mildly spicy. However on one occasion my sister wanted to have a salad, she fancy something light in fact and thought the fish salad was a good option. When the waiter arrived with the dish she frowned in a ‘I didn’t order this’ expression… it was our mistake to think it was a small dish, but what a great mistake. The fish was good but it was the veggies that came with it that got us mouthwatering. So delicious! A little spicy, a little sweet, a little tangy, the perfect mix of flavors. If I come back to this place(in case Thai Flavour at the end of the road is closed) it’ll be for this dish again.

This place is located on a quiet street in Wanchai that is full of little Thai restaurants. It’s just down the road from Passion, the delicious French bakery, on the corner of Johnston Road and Amoy. My husband and I were actually on our way to Thai flavor down the road, but it was closed on this Sunday. We trekked back towards Johnston road, and were debating on trying one of the other Thai restaurants, but just weren’t sure. We passed them up and headed into passion. We walked through and looked at all the sweet looking goodness and decided it wasn’t a healthy choice for the night. I also had a craving for curry. We walked back down the street and decided to try out Thai spice house because the dishes other people had looked pretty good and it smelled wonderful inside. We ordered papaya salad, spicy, pork, and panang curry. I also got a fresh young coconut to drink that was just right and had a nice large hole for easy scooping. Everything had a pretty good flavor, but the spice was pretty tame for us. Typically here in Hong Kong when we order papaya salad, it comes out nice and spicy, just how we like it. I would definitely return to this location, but just ask for spicy when we come again. Thai spice has a capacity of about 25 people, and could get pretty snug if full. This place is perfect if you want to bring children for Thai food, or if you have a sensitive palate.
