The food and the service were excellent. It was a bit difficult to find, but once we did, we eyed the rooftop seating. While outdoor seating might be too hot in the afternoon, it looked like a great spot for the evening.

A good spot to go to when you are craving some Thai in Causeway Bay. If you are going at peak time, you should probably make a reservation first. Otherwise, their space is quite large, extending to an outdoor covered area, and into a second indoor area. I’ve come quite a few times and they have an extensive menu with many appetizer and entrée options. Most recently, Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice, as well as appetizer of crispy rice with a sauce that you can add on top on the rectangle pieces of crispy rice. All were pretty good and was more food than 2 of us could finish. Service there is fine, and they come as needed and refill your tea. I’d return when I am craving some Thai food.

Thai Simple Kitchen has been my go-to Thai restaurant for groups of 5 or more for a few years already. There are so many options on the menu, it’s always great to have more people to share. This place has good value for money. Average spending per person is no more than $ 250. Besides all the regular Thai food like deep-fried prawn cakes and fish cakes, satay skewers, pad Thai and fried rice, the must-eats here are the Tom Yum Soup or coconut chicken soup and the oyster omelette. The oyster omelette has some of the freshest oysters in it. As for drinks, they’re one of the few restaurants in HK that serves Thai iced tea. It’s not the best I’ve tried but it definitely satisfies my occasion craving for it. Thai Simple Kitchen has an outdoor area which is great when the weather is not too hot or too cold. It could have gotten a five-star review but on my recent visit, I felt that they had a shortage of staff and it’s often hard to call for a waiter especially when your table is at the back corner of the restaurant. All in all, the food is delicious and of great value. Definitely recommended especially for groups.

I just spent $ 420 for over salty food and poor service. My friend actually threw up after eating the pork. Very very disappointed. Do not waste your money. Trust me!
