Living in Wan Chai it gets tricky to find a nice café spot where you can work from that has the following: good coffee or tea, wifi, peace, affordable prices, a touch of comfortability and coziness, is it possible? Well, I haven’t found it yet, sorry to disappoint. But I may have found the closest possible thing: Termini Tea Yard. I found it because I saw the cool terrace from the street and after getting into the wrong building, I finally arrived there in need of a break from crazy busy Causeway Bay… The café is in fact very cozy and from the door I spotted the terrace, with a swing like seating place that I immediately felt like checking out. It was way too busy and hot and it’s a smoking area, so I finally decided the indoors was a better option for me. So I sat down there and ordered an Americano. I was hoping the coffee would be good, because I’m normally very picky when it comes to it… and at 46HKD I expected something close to amazing. Which wasn’t, but was okay… too smooth and a little bitter, it didn’t rock my world so if you are into coffee, go for a tea. The chances of disappointment are always lessen. They have wifi and I cannot deny it’s comfy and cozy, so they fill in some of the other requirements. That’s good enough for once in a while for me, I can come here and work for a couple of hours in peace. Even though it’s very central, they were around four other people(and there is room for five or six times that). The staff is pretty laid back(pretty on the ‘a lot’ side sometimes) and that’s fine by me. Oh and on the menu they also have some food, but I haven’t tried anything yet. I wanted to have a first try with my coffee and because it wasn’t that amazing, I decided I’d have lunch somewhere else. This is a great spot for a break from shopping, for working in peace for a little while, for a quick bite maybe, and their terrace has a lot of potential but I’m gonna leave that for later in the year when heat and humidity leave Hong Kong until next year…
