Let it be noted that I give Sushi Tokuzen a strong 3 versus a wimpy 3 when having to rate it by Unilocal stars. And although it is only a 3 I am giving, I would go back to this restaurant. I have eaten at this establishment now twice. Both for dinner, once was a la carte and the other was their«All You Can Eat» option. With the $ 268HKD price per person for the AYCE option, versus the $ 800HKD for a la carte bill we paid a week earlier, clearly the AYCE option is the way to go. I don’t think the AYCE is available for lunch, although I cannot be 100% certain on this. Also, if you are in a group, either everyone in your group does the AYCE or everyone does the a la carte. People at the same table cannot do different options. So one for all and all for one! I would say the food is OK. Some food items are better than others. The salmon sashimi, the salmon hand roll and the fried oysters were some of my personal favorites. They were not the best I have had in town, but for a neighborhood spot that is only $ 268HKD, it was not bad. The food items that were not that special were the clams(they were sandy and small) and the sashimi scallops. Again, it was not horrible, just know there is better around Hong Kong. The AYCE also includes dessert and some drink options, including beer. This place is close to my house and we think it has a good environment. It is clean with dark woods and a welcoming space. On the second floor, in Japanese style, part of the dining room requires you to remove your shoes. There is a downstairs part with a sushi bar and an upstairs section too. They take reservations, which I would suggest for the AYCE at dinner gets busy and was a full dining room when we where there.

A bargain sushi lunch spot nestled between Central and Sheung Wan. Book in advance because this neighborhood joint gets packed. Sushi quality is considered top notch. I had the luxury to order the sashimi chirashi and sushi deluxe. Both were superb and delectable, and the uni is a must! It must be a luxury to have Japan nearby to import some of finest cuts of fish. I on the other hand envy HKers since NYC sushi is quite expensive. Thanks for sharing Tokuzen sushi!

I have gone here for lunch a few times. If you come at 12:00pm on a weekday you may be okay with getting seats, but if it is later and during peak lunch hour, you will need to make a reservation. I really like their assorted sashimi fish(cut into pieces) over rice that is topped with an onsen egg. After you break up the yolk and mix the egg with the rest of the rice, it gives the sushi and rice a slight saucy flavor, which livens up the dish. Most of the dishes come in a set, which includes a soups, salad, steamed egg and dessert. The chirashi set costs about $ 70, but is a very good deal for all that you get and all of it tastes very good. Service: The servers are prompt and overall provide good service. Food: Still a happy customer and will return when I am in the area. Price: Worth it — for this price it’s a good value with good flavor and portion size.
