This shop is very convenient to me. The staff are friendly and know the order of the regulars. Located inside the student union, the area is typically very noisy with other activities, so I do not recommend this as a place to do quiet work.

Sometimes, you’ll be walking around at HKU and can’t help but notice that every other person you pass is cradling a Starbucks drink in their hand. Not surprising — there are two Starbucks at HKU and it is 30% compared to other outlets, if I’m not wrong! I have more lessons in the Centennial Campus compared to the main one, so it is the Starbucks at Centennial that I frequent more often. By the way, address-wise, the Starbucks is said to be located on the Main Campus, but most people associate it to be over on the Centennial side. To get there, walk past the student union building and the canteen, keep going and you should see it on your left. The other day, I planned to meet a friend outside Starbucks for a quick lunch — but it was around 12:45pm, and the line was insanely long! It’s usually not this bad — there were just significantly more people on campus as it was the second day of school, but it’s quite often that you will have to wait in line for at least five or ten minutes. My regular — a hot medium sized latte — is only $ 20.5 here, much cheaper than buying it at any Starbucks! Food is cheaper here too. There are sandwiches and salad of course, and they have sweets like cheesecakes and passionfruit tarts as well. Personally, I love the chicken and mushroom pie, which is just $ 14. I find that the selection of the food is often more than the Starbucks next to the Main Library. Yes, this isn’t the most relevant review in the world, but if for any reason you are at HKU, come by for a coffee — it’ll be the cheapest Starbucks you’ve ever had!
