This is kind of an odd Starbucks. It may be shiny and new, but it’s missing warmth and light and that buzzy energy that I’ve come to associate with all of the stores. The lighting is low, the menu isn’t located in its usual spot on the wall(a small version is on the counter), and it was strangely quiet. Also, I believe this is the first time I’ve seen a sliding door in a Starbucks! Not exactly the most efficient type of door for keeping the Hong Kong heat and humidity at bay. I usually bypass Starbucks and go straight to a local coffee shop for my espresso drinks, but every once in awhile I crave a chai latte and sadly, not everyone in town makes them. Definitely worth a shot for takeaway coffee, but Classified is a much better spot for a laptop or lounge session.
