During the recent trip to Hong Kong I was able to visit Stanley for the second time. I came in 2003 when family friends took me here. Since then I hadn’t come by myself because I was unfamiliar with how to get here by bus. I finally figured it out this time thanks to use Google telling me to take the number 6 bus from Central’s Exchange Square terminal.
I wasn’t too crazy about Stanley Market since these days I’m not much into that type shopping. Hanging out on the promenade was another story. It was wonderful finding a bench to sit and look out into the beautiful water. I went on a Sunday and there’s ample opportunity for people-​watching as well.
There’s dining opportunities there but the food places look «touristy». If you prefer local food like I did then it’s best to have lunch before coming here.
