The place is pretty good for Hong Kong. I spent about 2 years traveling to Seoul & this place is close to the real thing — although I the menu & tastes are what foreigners expect rather than what Koreans will have. The crowd tonight was largely local Chinese & a few tourist. The is not high so it’s reasonable for a place like this. Have the basic BBQ beef & spicy pork.

This is not your cheap and casual Korean restaurant as you already might have expected given its location. But the prices would be justified by the quality. It was one of the best Korean meals I’ve had! One dish that you must try is the steamed pork brisket that will instantly melt in your mouth. To create the perfect bite, eat it with the delicious kim chi. Not many restaurants serve good kim chi as there can be many variations. The one in the house has the perfect amount of spiciness, sourness and saltiness, so balanced and well flavored. Their beef quality and marinade were amazing. We just couldn’t get enough of the beef but we didn’t over-order as we wanted to try other stuff as well. Their ginseng chicken soup with rice was flavorful and soothing, like a Korean version of the chicken noodle soup. It’s a good comfort food if you’re feeling under the weather in the winter. Service was okay. We got what we asked for and the staff were all very patient. They didn’t seem too friendly though maybe they were tired? They didn’t speak good English so a few times we had trouble communicating with them.(They are not Koreans.) It’s a bit weird how the bathrooms were located one floor down so you’d have to take the escalator, walked a little bit down the ramp to get to the bathrooms… At least they had a clean one! Given the location, I suppose there are a lot of white collar coming here either with friends or with clients. This is certainly a good place to take someone out of town to for some good Korean food. Not too fancy but not too shabby.
