I’m a fan of different kinds of food — vegetarian food is no exception. I’ve been to this restaurant two times, both during lunch. Do note that it serves ovo-lacto vegetarian food, which means eggs and dairy are still on the menu. It is a street away from Times Square on the 25th floor, although don’t expect spectacular views as blinds cover the windows. The medium-sized interior has a turquoise color scheme(except for the walls) and from my guess can seat 30 diners at a time. Tables are already prepared and after sitting down, you’ll be asked what type of tea you would like to drink. I usually drink jasmine green tea for its aroma and subtle flavor, plus I don’t have to purchase unnecessary drinks that I could buy elsewhere. Menus will be initially offered in Chinese but you can also ask for an English menu, which contains pictures and is laminated compared to the paper Chinese menu. We ordered the assorted dim sum platter, which consisted of char siu baau, spring rolls, steamed meatballs, and other staples. Since the dim sum comes in a large platter, it’s better to eat it immediately when it’s hot. We also had a fried rice dish with mushrooms and mixed vegetables, which was devoured quickly as it was so good. Our next dish was fried noodles(again with mushrooms) with chopped carrots and choi sum. The rich and creamy sauce slathered over the noodles tasted so much better that the soy sauce-based noodles I’ve had in the past. I really didn’t miss meat the whole time I was dining here. The vegetarian food was that good. It was savory and salt had a light hand on the majority on the dishes. I think I should take short course on vegetarian cooking to know how to prepare these types of dishes.
