A contemporary style hotel comes in very affordable price at a prime location. Staffs are friendly, but the room is a no-no. I understand the real estate is very expensive in HK, but doesn’t mean the quality of room shall be sacrificed. Room is pretty beat up and some corners are molded. Towels smell and bring your own toothpaste/toothbrush. The positive thing is it has a free 3G phone for you to carry around for Internet, GPS and calls. Unless you are in tight budget, I don’t recommend it to you.

A couple of my friends raved about this very cute mini hotel strategically located in the heart of causeway bay. First things first, the location is amazing if you want to explore causeway bay /wan chai area as the hotel is just 5 mins walking distance from times square and the very prestigious Lee Gardens Tower 1 and II. Also within the vicinity is Hysan Place, where you get 12 storeys of shopping awesomeness. Feeling hungry anytime of the day? No problem. You get a lot of good restaurants and local cafes within walking distance or just a tram ride away. Moving on, I paid SGD110 for a night stay in a double bed room and considering the location and the average price you pay for a hotel room in hong kong island, it is extremely cheap. The hotel is easy to locate, you’ll see the signage the minute you turn into Sun Wui Road. It’s on your left with that small entrance. The lobby is located on basement 1 and very impressive. It is colorful and nicely decorated with modern furniture, paintings and quirky art pieces all over. Upon check in, you’ll also be given a smartphone where you can turn on the hotspot and use it as your wifi device for your phone and stay connected all the time. Very nice touch. The room is small, but smartly designed to fit everything in — a sink for you to wash your hands and brush your teeth, a small toilet which I can’t even stretch my arms entirely, rows of strategically installed clothes hanger and a small bar top where you get your electric kettle and paper cups. Everything was perfect until the next morning. I was awaken by the noise coming from the next room and that’s when I realized how thin the walls are. I then realized the noise was actually the sound of a couple getting«busy» and I find it very disturbing and couldn’t sleep after. I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels and budget hotels and this is the first time I came across this and even though I was alone, it feels rather awkward to be listening to the sound of… you know, pleasure?! All in all, it was an interesting experience staying at mini hotel in causeway bay. They have another branch in central. I would recommend staying here if you are a lone traveler or a backpacker who just want a bed to sleep at night and nothing else. Well, of course, bring a pair of earplugs, if you get what I mean!

I’m pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Yes it’s mini as described, and there isn’t much amenities, but the interior of the hotel is much nicer than expected. Check in was a breeze. Just take the elevator down to B1, and as soon as you get off the elevator someone would be there to assist. All i had to do was give him my passport and a credit card for deposit. Without much more hassle I was handed my card key and off I went to my room on the 12th floor. I got the smart queen room. Aside of the bed, bathroom and a sink, the hotel room is pretty bare and narrow(the width of the room only fit the queen bed). There is a window, but it’s really small. No desk in this room. It was more than enough for me since I was by myself and only staying for one day. There are plenty of floor space for my luggage. Another plus point of this hotel is that it’s smack dab in the middle of Causeway bay — only 2 minutes walk to Times Square! For the price and location you really can’t complain.
