My mom ‘s birthday party was held there. Two tables with set menu were served. I usually were not impressed by the set menu but this time I had to give the compliment to the chefs. Every dish served steaming hot and delicious. Keep up the good works, Maxim.

My review is slightly colored by the state of my stomach going in, and after a long day of travel, staring down cow stomach didn’t go over well. My sister in law’s dad took us and it is a pretty traditional experience. The ceilings appear to have been recently refurbished and the molding and chandeliers are gorgeous. The carpet is oddly dingy and run down considering the opulence up top, but I guess they figure you’re more likely to look up. Huge selection of dumplings, sweet pastries, and soups. Located inside a high end mall, which makes parking fairly convenient.

This restaurant is located in Tai Koo Shing inside a shopping mall, and is one of the restaurant of the Maxim’s. The group has an iphone app, and you can reserve table via the app.
The place is large, more of the traditional type of Chinese restaurant. The cuisine is Cantonese, dim sum in the morning.
There are ladies pushing dim sum trolley around where you can pick the dim sum. Once the lady hand over the dim sum, she will stamp your dim sum card, then it will tally up when you pay the bill. That does not means all food items are recorded this way, you can still order other stuffs via the wait staff.
Food quality is not bad. I enjoyed the dim sum.

I always end up coming to Maxim’s Palace every time I am in town.
Not because it is that good but it is just close to where my family lives and located inside Taikoo which has direct access to MTR.
They do have excellent set dinner discount for some credit card users, which is such a good value. But aside from that the food always been meh.
I was excited to have some hairy crab as the photo looks great in the menu. They turned out to be so tiny and overcooked.
Service though is fast and cheerful.
