We have been going to Matsubishi for years and it consistently excellent and IMHO the best teppanyaki in HK, but its not cheap! We always have the sliced sirloin which just is incredible and a selection of other dishes as well which are typically always very good(we never order the set menu). Having said that we had the king prawns last night and they were very rubbery /chewy

Located inside a hotel the food and prices are what you expect. I’ve tried both the sushi bar and the teppanyaki. Their sashimi is very fresh and the chef was very friendly. It is however pricier than other Japanese restaurants in the area. For family lunches we always eat here for their teppanyaki. Make sure you make a reservation, it’s normally busy. The ingredients are fresh and the chef caters to special requests. I really like their thin steak wrapped in fried garlic and scallions.

Came here for lunch since I was in the neighbourhood for working purposes. I have not visited this Japanese/tebanyaki restaurant for a long time. The décor did not change and it seems dated. I was greeted well with hot tea and its lunch menu. But everything seems to go downhill from there on, its service is poor with one manager constantly disturbing while not being productive at all, the food is soso. Overall a poor experience and will not visit again anytime soon!
