Like the place, like the vibe, but never tried the cocktails though. There are undoubtedly a lot rooftop bars in Causeway Bay, but it takes more than just the view to make it great. The rooftop here is not particular huge, but it got the view of both sides of the building. Very chillaxing place for the last few times I was here. The main floor just below the rooftop was pretty good as well. They have just enough table and seats to make this place alive, but not crowded. If you are not particularly picky about your drinks, you can get whatever the usuals you want from here. I read a few reviews about the cocktails, but I never had a chance to try. That’s probably the only star missing from my rating. It’s a bit out of way in terms of the central Causeway Bay. But to be fair, at the heart of Causeway Bay, there are very limited choices of decent bars, if any at all. With Inn-Side Out is now relocated to South China AA, this is only going to be more and more popular.

This is one of the best sky bars/lounges to chill at in the 852! It isn’t overly crowded like the ones you’d find in LKF and there is usually plenty of seat on most given nights. And I would have to say that they’ve got an awesome selection of whiskey as well. What is better than having a great place to lounge at while you knock back some great whiskey with good company? They whip up some pretty damn good crafted cocktails as well. You’ll savor every sip of your drink! Service here is quite quick in comparison to other similar spots around the area. They were much more attentive despite being so what busy while we were there. Come with a group of your friends, grab some drinks and chat the night away!

Cool place — went for late night drinks and even though the rooftop was sparsely populated, the staff was incredibly attentive and turned on the gas lamps to keep us warm. Drinks tasted great, even if their«Elderflower Liqueur» isn’t really St. Germain. The Vertigo-inducing views going up and down the stairs(especially down) is something to behold.

Mamoz is fast becoming my favorite happy hour place in Hoi Ping Road since Inside-out has moved from its original location. Mamoz is located on the top floor of Cubis which is a new-ish retail and office complex near Lee Gardens. It is kind of unfair for me to compare it to Inside Out as this place is tastefully decorated(and clean) and offers creative cocktails, which is a far cry from the perpetually sticky-tabled and peanut shells on floor Inside Out. The space is cosy, with low couches in the main area of the room, and bar tables along the windows which opens to an expansive birdseye view of Causeway Bay. For those single drinkers Mamoz welcomes you to sit and chat with the bartenders at the bar. The food is typical bar fare, with nothing over $ 100(initially, although you can add extra ingredients to up your ante on the pizzas), fries are boring but chicken nuggets and spicy corn with nachos is great. Portions are small so order more for variety. The pizza is also not bad, thin crusted but not crispy– the consistency is like a giant lunchables pizza. But it tastes better than I describe. I promise. Now for the drinks. Overall their original cocktails are pretty good, but what I want to talk about is their sangrias. The sangrias are free(for ladies. And on Thursdays) as it’s ladies night. As far as free flowing drinks go Mamoz’s sangrias are pretty tasty, and offer a nice buzz right at around the 3rd glass or so. I’ve checked with the staff and technically ladies can go there and order sangrias till 9 and leave suitably buzzed with zero on the bar tab. Now isn’t that nice after a long week of thankless and degrading work known as a Career in Marketing.

Mamoz has become one of my favorite places to go to with friends to just hang out and unwind. Most of these nice bars/lounges with an outdoor terrace are in LKF or Soho in Central, so I was glad when I stumbled upon Mamoz. Mamoz is right by Lee Gardens and down from South China Athletic Association, situated on the highest and second-highest floor of a building called Cubus. We’ve only ever been to Mamoz on Thursdays because they do a wonderful Ladies’ Night deal: free flow of Sangria and Cosmopolitan from 5−9pm, in addition to being able to order from the discounted food and other drinks from the Happy Hour menu.(It used to be strawberry champagne but they recently changed it to Sangria.) Of the times that I’ve been there, the Cosmopolitan has always been much stronger than the Sangria. The service at Mamoz is great too — the staff are attentive, and they don’t make you wait forever for a new drink when you’re done with yours. The food is, I would say, a bit expensive, but it balances out nicely because of the free flow of drinks. One of my favorites off their snack menu is the buffalo wings — the buffalo sauce is very thick and rich, and the meat is perfectly succulent. The cheddar cheese fries are not bad either, and I’m not even somebody who likes fries! I would advise that you make a reservation before hand if you’re intending to go during the happy hour times, and especially if it’s a Thursday — if you’re coming with a large party of more than 6, ask if you can get the comfortable sofa seats at the corner when you’re making the reservation!
