I have to say this is my first bubbly, egg waffle thing I have had since moving to Hong Kong(not sure of the official word for it, so I am going to call it this!). You Asian folks love your carbohydrate, bread based snacks and this pancake is no exception. I love it though! I had the bubbly waffle thing with the chocolate chips. It tastes like a pancake, but more dense with a crispier outside to it. So fun, delicious and easy to eat. It is a walk up/grab and go place, so no seats. I am sure it is this way at all Mammy Pancake locations around Hong Kong. Staff was friendly and bright décor in their branding made it easy to spot on the street. They make your waffle or bubbly egg waffle thing fresh right there, so it is hot and fresh. It took about 5 – 10 minutes for them to make it, so be prepared for a little wait. Maybe even more so if they are busy already with customers.

Their famed chocolate chip eggettes are just as good here as their other branches. I did think that the wait was particularly long. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re new and still ironing out the kinks, but maybe it’s just because there were THAT many people ahead of me. It’s not the most convenient location to get to, being rather far from the Mong Kok MTR station, but I do love that it is located next to a lot of other eateries. Around the corner, there is a soft serve place that is popular for soft serve in a fish shaped waffle.
