This is a comment on the hours of operation. Lulu is not open until 0300 as stated. They will tell you they are open until 0200, but will not sell you a beer after 0130. This is based on direct experience.

If you think of a «lan kwai fong» on the dark side, people would usually make a beeline for Knutsford Terrace; this is of course the right thing to do: there are loads of choices for bars, restaurants– maybe a bit of both in some of them. The live music blaring out from Dusk Till Dawn helps to add to the atmosphere. However, if you are looking for somewhere a bit out of the way(I say out of the way but we are still talking about TST) — how about Lulu on Hanoi street? There is a small concentration of balls on this short street behind K-11, which dwarfs everything beside it. Lulu is the biggest bar amongst them all(on street level) and on real busy days you will see people sat out front too(bonus for smokers). the bar itself is more interesting in the sense that it serves a wide selection of lagers; I won’t name any particular brands here but it is certainly more than the usual Buds and Stellas that you find at other bars. seating is comfortable and it has a fully fledged kitchen that serves anything from nachos to pasta. The quality of the food is a pass but again I wouldn’t come all the way just to try the food; but still a nice thing to have when you have downed a few pints and can’t be bothered to eat elsewhere. It does get rather crowded at happy hour, especially on Fridays, so you will be well advised to come early and get a table. The other thing is that it does get very, very noisy because they do try to pack in as much people as they could so this is not a place for small talk. The scene is lively as you get locals, expats and tourists all mixed together at this location so I’m sure there something in it for everyone. As I said before-go try the lagers and cheers!
