Did their full day (8 hour) tour of Lantau Island, including the Tai O fishing village, Giant Buddha, Po Lin Monastery, Ngong Ping Skyrail ride, etc.

It was great! At first, 8 hours seemed like a very long time for a tour. However, the day so full of great sights and activities that the 8 hours went by in a blink. It was over before we knew it.
The tour started with a hotel pick up in Kowloon. Then a ferry ride to Lantau Island. The tour schedule:
1. Cheung Sha Beach. Very picturesque.
2. Tai O fishing village. We took a short ride on a little boat to see the homes on stilts on the water. We also took a short walk through the village.
3. Giant Buddha. Bus dropped us off at the top, so we didn’t have to climb the 268 to the top. Tour of the exhibition hall. Relics (two small bone fragments) of the Buddha located at the top.
4. Po Lin Monastery. Delicious vegetarian lunch.
5. Ngong Ping Village. Lots of options for souvenir shopping.
6. Ngong Ping Skyrail ride. 20 – 25 minute gondola/​cable car ride back down the mountain. Awesome views!
Bus ride back to the hotel.
Our guide was Ben. He was very articulate and informative.
Great tour! Would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely do it again!
