This review is for the mahjong halls. I’ve been to quite a few. Used to frequent the branch in Mong Kok, the one at Golden Era Plaza, Sing Kee in Tsuen Wan, and some random one at Wanchai. This is robably the worst.
The waiting area was brightly lit and seems to have a restaurant. It was a Saturday night, and their late night happy owl deal starts at 10pm, $ 450~ for 6 hours including 4 drinks total! cheap deal. $ 15 an hour extra for automatic table. While we were waiting, we overheard that some of their rooms were having problems; the pipes burst or the aircon didn’t work. Luckily that did not happen to our room, but it did hint at the conditions of the rooms.
Once I entered the room, it reeks of an old attic that had not been opened for decades. It took about 10 minutes to get used to the stench of oldness. The chairs were aged and the décor was run down. The toilet was below average and there was no more soap (probably a quick fix though). The aircon was too cold (bring a jacket!) but when above 24C it was too humid.
The service was alright and the drinks were fine. They refilled hot water from time to time.

Tip: Come at 10pm for cheap deal! call to book. Bring a jacket, it gets cold.
Favourites: Cheap deal, but I don’t really know compared to the rest.
Meh: More run down than what I’m used to.
Last words: Cheap and it’ll do the job, I don’t mind paying $ 50 more for a bit more comfort though.
