There aren’t many options in North Point and Ibis is centrally located in North Point. There are lots of small eateries downstairs which makes it very convenient. The hotel is located next to the MTR station and the two rooms that I stayed in had an amazing view of the harbor. It’s a budget hotel so don’t set your expectations high. The rooms are small — it’s essentially the size of the bed and a desk about the size of an iron board by the window. The bathrooms are old but it gets the job done. I had to switch rooms during my 3 nights stay and the front desk handle it very well. They did their best to have the room ready for me as early as possible so that my transition was early in the day and wouldn’t disrupt my tourist schedule. I did have to push it a bit but I appreciated that they responded and acted accordingly. It was much appreciated. I would stay here again.

My regular stay in Hong Kong as its convenient and it provides a comfortable stay. As Hong Kong’s hotels are one of the most expensive in Asia, it’s difficult to find a decent place that doesn’t cost an «arm» for it — if you know what I mean. As a frequent solo traveller, I am particular about about priced and won’t pay more than US $ 100 for a single room per night. However, in Hong Kong, I have to make it an exception. I paid around this price for my last few trips over here and let me share with you it’s pros and cons. Located at Hong Kong Island, Northpoint. It’s just a few minutes from the bus terminal and a minute walk to the MTR station. Going to Kowloon from there is convenient, usually I take the MTR to Admiralty and change line, so no worries about the transport. Only thing is getting from airport to the hotel may be far and it takes around an hour and 20 minutes both ways but still you get to enjoy the view while traveling pass the roads of Hong Kong. As for the hotel, there are 2 lifts and it takes forever to wait when you are your floor depending on which level you are. The higher you are the better it is for you. Why? If you are stuck in the middle, usually when lift reaches to your floor, it’s full and you have to wait for a while before finally getting into it. Frustrating it can be, so usually I take the lift up and then down to ground floor. As for the room, it’s of a typical small size — standard for HK. For the kind of price, I can get bigger rooms elsewhere but that’s something I have to get used to. Other than that, the room is clean and comfortable and WiFi connection is stable. Overall, I enjoy this hotel and won’t hesitate to return.
