If you grew up in Hong Kong, I am sure you must have come to this place at least 5 times because of those field trips organized by schools. Yes, I am talking about the weird-looking architecture in Tsim Sha Tsui. It comprises two wings. The east one has an egg-shaped dome structure which is commonly known as the«cha shiu bao» as the appearance resembles the pork buns we have in a Chinese restaurant. Beneath the dome are the Space Theatre, workshops and offices. You may also find the lecture hall, gift shops and offices in the west wing. This museum is so much fun as it provides educational and entertaining exhibitions to promote community interest in astronomy and space science. Kids love this place because of all the fun activities in it. For example, the moon-walk stimulator allows you walk in a zero-gravity setting as an astronaut. The best part of this is definitely the movie in planetarium, which is a large dome-shaped projection screen onto which stars and planets move realistically. It will blow your mind if it is your first time. Notice that Wednesday is free admission day but the queues and crowds might be a bit huge.
