Ramen is now very popular in HK. You could easily find one in any district. This time, my friends and I came to Yuen Long, trying out this traditional japanese ramen place. We arrived quite late, at about 8:30pm. There wasn’t much customers and the restaurant was spacious. The wooden decorations give an extra peacefulness to the restaurant. Back to the main content — ramen. Overall speaking, it tasted ok but it is not very outstanding. I ordered the one with mushrooms and truffle, costing $ 78, which I think it’s a good deal. There’s an option to add $ 28 for a combo, i.e. half-boiled egg + salad + soft drinks. The soup is very concentrated and salty but filled with the smell of truffles which is very pleasant. The chewiness of noodles was alright though my personal preference is to be more softer(I am too lazy to chew). The ramen also goes with two pieces of meat which is tender to eat. I have also tried a spoon of my frd’s ramen soup. Hers was fish bone soup, having s sense of freshness which is nice too.
