I really like this place. This is the ultimate experience of the local Hong Kong style café. In Cantonese, it is «Cha Chaan Teng», literal means tea restaurant. My friend who moved from downtown in Kowloon to Yuen Long over 10 year’s ago had frequented here for some time. It is very crowded and difficult to find a table if you come after 8 am. Or you can come after 10 am. The menu is afffordable, normally includes Hong Kong cuisine and Hong Kong-style western cuisine. I had the Hong Kong-style Milk tea, Hong Kong-style Ham and Egg sandwich, for a grand price of HK$ 28 = US$ 3.62. There are also various breakfast set. My buddy who took me there, had a breakfast set which includes a buttered toast, a Fish Cutlet with Mayo, and Instant noodle with Satay Beef, approximately US$ 6.45. The only thing is all the menu is in Chinese, nothing is in English. If you want to have a 100% local Hong Kong Tea Restaurant experience, go in and have fun, and point your finger at the menu, or find someone who speaks Cantonese or Mandarin(a lots of staff speaks Mandarin), and go for an unforgettable dinning experience which does not burn a hole in your pocket.
