I had to admit Vancouver’s Chinese dessert shops are mediocre if compare with Hong Kong’s. In HK, you can find dessert shop easily and no matter where you are. After dinner at Spring Deer, we walked from Mody Road to Hau Fook Street within 20 mins. We hadn’t digested the dinner and need to be ready for dessert. The menu selection was great, we almost wanted to all everything. My hubby joked to my friend that he might have allodoxaphobia if he has to pick the dessert. LOL Chocolate soufflé — It’s light and fluffy. However, the chocolate taste was so bland. Mango and pomelo sago cream — Mango was so fresh and sweet but Pomelo just a bit sour to me. Mango sago with Durian ice cream — Mango and durian are my hubby’s flavour. We rarely can eat fresh durian in Vancouver. My hubby just finished his own dessert without sharing. I believed it should be good. We’re so satisfied on our first day in HK.

Ordered the sweetie sweetie & split it with a friend. If I’d eaten it myself I would have exploded. So cheap. Service isn’t that great but I didn’t expect it anyways. Came on a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy.

Don’t know since when Hau Fook Street is filled with dessert places, and I have to say this is one of the most busy streets in Tsim Sha Tsui(after The Knutsford Terrance of course). After my friends and I finished our dinner at Ding Tai Fung, we were trying to go to a place for dessert. Originally we planned to go to the Honeymoon Dessert(Figured.), but on second thought, we were really bored with that and would love to try something different. So we came here instead. There were about four to five dessert shops here and I personally do not know which one is better; so we just went to the one that did not take a long waiting time. Happy Together was the choice for that night. As expected, three of us were sharing the same table with another three. I was not surprised at all as this happens to all dessert places anyways. First look at the menu, the portion of the food seemed rather big and relatively cheap — around HKD$ 30 to HKD$ 50. I ordered the Mango pudding with different toppings like Pop Rocks. It did not take long and we got our food. The food honestly was not that extraordinary; pretty much like the Honeymoon place but you may only find the Pop Rocks here. Anyways, I enjoyed my evening there but it was not my favorite as the food was pretty… blend and nothing really stood out to me. The good thing may be the fact that it is cheap and at least we found a place other than that chain store.
