We had been trying to book this place for some time, so it was a pleasant surprise when we managed to make a booking. It is situated inside The Pottinger Hotel on the corner of Pottinger Street and Stanley Street. It offers tranquility in the hustle and bustle of Stanley Street area.
It is a relatively small restaurant with nice decoration. The service was good. The waiters were helpful and patient.
The bread was good but not outstanding. I like their balsamic vinegar. They are the aged variety. It is thick and with hints of fruity sweetness. I ordered the seafood soup. The flavour was rich and the ingredients fresh. The prawn spaghetti was somewhat disappointing, with the spaghetti seemingly over cooked. Dessert was ok, but nothing noteworthy.
Another negative for me is that it seems on a pricey side.

Excellent restaurant with lovely interior décor — perfect for a classy girls night or a romantic dinner. I came with my aunt, who had made reservations 3 weeks prior. After perusing the dinner menu, my aunt requested a fresh asparagus salad (not on the menu), which consisted of lightly sauteed asparagus atop salad and peeled green grapes. It was surprisingly very light and refreshing, and the green grapes provided a nice sweet contrast against the asparagus. We both ordered the lamb (Lombo di agnello in crosta al forno — roast lamb rack with herbs and Chianti mustard) for ourselves and it was lip-​smacking delicious! The lamb rack portion size was very fair and generous, and the meat incredibly tender and full of flavor, with the encrusted herbs. Just perfect. We also ordered a red prawn pasta (off their special menu, be sure to ask when seated), but for some reason, it didn’t arrive. Nevertheless, the lamb was especially filling and I would definitely return for it and to try other dishes!

Birthday lunch for my sweetie staff, the new restaurant Gradini is located in the Pottinger Hotel and the décor is very nice. Yes I remember this is the restaurant used to be have a nice Belgium traditional a bowl of mussels before a year ago which I was enjoyed very much. Now this is an Italian Restaurant but nice décor with the wallpaper of my favorite color green and white likes as London or French style. While I read the magazine about a month ago then want to make a reservation, however keep full booking until lately.
Over the dishes are very good and we ordered 3 different main courses including steak, pork and seabass, portion is just right, not too big. We had a great moment for girl’s talk though. Will visit again certainly!
