Fresh Fruit Juice Paradise

If my memory serves me correctly (it tends to play tricks on me these days) then Fresh Fruit Juice Paradise has been in Discovery Bay for many years, under different names and in a different spot. I’ve been visiting the place for only the last 2 years.
FFJP offers what you would expect. Fresh fruits, juices, and smoothies. It’s a small store run by a very cheerful man who, from what I’ve seen, is there all the time! There are two reason as to why I think he is always smiling. 1) he’s got an unlimited supply of juicy fruit at his finger tips, 2) the prices he charges and gets away with. It may be a combination of both.
As you enter you will be greeted by the shop owner. The counter displays a bundle of mangos and bananas as well as the different sizes of drinks. Higher up, behind the counter, is a big list of juices and prices, though I’m pretty sure the owner doesn’t know what’s what so you could just ask for any combination of fruit and he’ll nod, smile and make it.
On most occasions I’ll order a kiwi, orange, and mango smoothie, and on every occasion I’m savor each sip. It’s not rocket science, making these smoothies, however, he is generous with the fruit going into the blender. Another bonus of FFJP is on the odd occasion that I go to the gym they also offer protein-​fruit smoothies. The price is only a little bit higher, but from what I can tell when sneaking a peek the protein is some of the better stuff.
More and more I’ve found myself back at FFJP, especially during the summer months (that’s like ¾ of the year). It’s a popular place for the locals and rightly so.
