This might look like a tiny local café in an alleyway and you could easily walk by it without noticing it’s even there. However, this is probably the most famous restaurant on Peng Chau. Yes it’s called «Fast Car Café», but it’s not like any Hong Kong Style Café.
If you are visiting Peng Chau, you have to try the local food there. Their family style seafood dishes are just amazing!
We started out with a fried tofu skin fish soup. Just perfect, not too fishy and the soup is very creamy. Steamed lotus leaf with fresh shrimps and sticky rice… OMG! simply mouthwatering!!! Steamed crabs with egg in Hua Diao Jiu (Chinese yellow wine) just so delicious. Fried fish, sweet & sour pork, scallion & spicy soy sauce chicken… Great food, great price and I simply did not expect anything this good on a small island 30 min ferry from Central.
You just have to try it to believe it. This place is a must try if you ever visit Peng Chau.
