Dragon Centre

There are escalators that bring you to each floor of this mall. Similar to all malls in Hong Kong, Dragon Center has many stories ~10 stories high.
The usual stores are there including Giordano, Adidas, Baleno, Sasa, Fortress World and Japan Home Center. There are also many arcade games here including Jumpin Gym USA (which has been around since I was a child) and Sky Fantasia. On top of that, there is also an ice rink located on the eighth floor of dragon center.
There are also many cuisines you can eat from including restaurants that you can dine in, little snack bars and snack shops for packaged Japanese products.
My favourite stores are the little booths in the top floor because they sell the best and cutest stationery, artistic DIY products, basically one of the shops young girls love coming to!
Dragon Centre is one of my favourite malls in Hong Kong.

You can find all kinds of shops in the Dragon Centre albeit it’s a hit or miss but I think it is a nice change to the endless chain stores.
I came here one time for massage and I liked it. Don’t expect the fancy SPA like settings like you would in Central/​CWB/​TST. You might even find the shops a bit shady but these are proper massage places.

I only go to Dragon Centre for two things when I am shopping in Sham Shui Po: The HSBC ATMs and the food court.
The HSBC ATMs are located by the elevators (follow the signs).
The food court on the 8^th floor is a great experience. More than four dozen stalls serving a wide array of asian and middle eastern cuisine. This is my favorite food court in Hong Kong. I personally really enjoy the korean and indian curry selections.
There is an ice skating rink on the top floor. It’s too bad the roller coaster is no longer running.

Dragon Centre looks like a mall that is way past its time, but the small inexpensive boutiques and cheap eats make it a worthwhile visit. To get there, take the MTR to Sham Shui Po and get out at exit C1. There are street signs along the way that point you in the right direction, so getting lost won’t be an issue.
I have never eaten at any restaurant here — just the food court, which is on the 8^th floor. The quality of food there is not amazing, but you get what you pay for (which isn’t a lot). One good thing is that because this mall isn’t very popular with the crowds, you won’t have trouble not being able to find a seat. There are other small restaurants on the lower floors ranging from ramen to local cha chan tengs that won’t cost you a fortune.
You can’t come to Dragon Centre and without taking a look at the small local boutiques that litter the 2^nd to 7^th floor. The Apple Mall occupies the 5^th and 7^th floor, where you’ll be able to find lots of inexpensive clothes and accessories, though the quality of these might not be the very best. It’s also worth checking out the little booths on each floor. They’re just out in the open and most of them sell things like trendy jewelry and phone cases.
If you’ve never been to Dragon Centre, definitely come by with some friends. It’s not massive, so you won’t be able to make a day out of it, but after that you can head two MTR stops down to Mong Kok for more shopping. Plus, how often can you say you’ve just been to a mall with an indoor roller coaster? It’s no longer functioning but it is still quite a sight!

The Dragon Centre is the biggest mall you can find in Sham Shui Po– this isn’t your average mall either. At the top of the mall you will see some tracks; these were the tracks for a full-​blown roller coaster that used to twine itself around the top of the building. This is such an innovative things that I still can’t think of any mall in Hong Kong that has such a feature– may be its for a good reason too because the roller coaster isn’t in operation any more.
The mall itself is a mixed bag– you won’t find any top level brand name shops here as this is not the line that the mall takes. Instead you will find a department store, which serves locals and the shop itself is in desperate need of re-​doing. There are many small shops here which could not be found elsewhere– the quality of the goods they sell is questionable though they are cheap for sure.
Food wise you will be spoilt for choice here, randomly dotted around the mall are numerous restaurants and they include ones which are not chain outlets. This seems to be the recurring theme here– cheaper, non-​chain stores are the main thing here and for that reason it has become a charming thing. In Hong Kong these days it is difficult to find a shopping mall without Gap, H&M and Zara– this is why I would recommend everyone to take a look at this place because you will find some unexpected bargains.
Coming here is easy– you have the MTR nearby and being in town you will have loads of choices for transport. There is a big but grotty carpark here and its constantly full so expect to wait.
