Stumbled into this place walking around Causeway Bay. I looked past the windows and thought I saw Chimay bottles. Turns out that Coedo is a Japanese microbrewery. The taproom is nice. We ordered angus beef and their fried chicken to have with our beers. My cousin said the beef was good. I tried the fried chicken and it was too oily and bland for me. There was also too much skin and fat. As for beer selection, they have 12 beers on tap. 5 are the Coedo beers and 7 on rotation. I was surprised to find western brews like Stone’s Ruination on tap. They have a pretty small selection, a lot better than most. I do think that the service could be a little better. One of the servers/managers was stumbling drunk tending to our table, and we saw some staff drinking. Not sure why, but the vibe was a little bit off too. Still, nice surprise to find this taproom when we were looking for craft beer.

Cool little place. The fried chicken don is something I would come back for. Same as the dessert. The other dishes are not too bad but not on the same delicious level as the crispy fried chicken. Love the dessert too. There are obviously drinks aplenty here. But the seats are darn uncomfortable and the AC was not on in my part of the restaurant… I went at noon on a hot humid day! So service and management could do a bit better if u don’t wanna keep wiping butt sweat off the stools!
