Bang Bang 70’s Vintage Store

A gem of a store and a welcome addition (though now lets face it an institution) to the lack of vintage shops in HK! Right in the heart of Soho with friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable staff they stock everything from 1950s army surplus to vintage boaters. I’d say a bit pricey but if you invest in an incredible piece its worth it as it’ll last a lifetime…
They also take second-​hand designer goods but be warned its on commission so you won’t see a penny until they’ve sold it! Bang Bang is one of those shops you can’t miss as its on a main slope in central Hong Kong.
Once inside the yellow tinged neon lit store with checkerboard black and white painted floor — the haberdashery hung from the ceilings, the 70s vibe — this is so not-​HK — which is exactly its appeal! Bags hang from the ceilings and retro lamps are littered throughout keeping the spotlight on the amazing array of shoes, bags, dresses, Chanel suits — they also have an old school record player in the back!
Outside you’ll more than likely see an old vintage Cadillac parked up the road. Look up and you’ll see the unmistakable red and black of Bang Bang.
