In the small, charming and cosy town of Mui Wo stands a small, charming and cosy restaurant, Bahce. Run either by a family or people that just look really similar this turkish restaurant offers its patrons a range of sumptuous dishes. Friendly service combined with authentic decorations will have you saying Sağol in no time. But let me warn you, especially if you are hiking from Discovery Bay or Tung Chung. The seats are made of wood, hard wood(is there another kind?), with nothing but a cloth to cushion a sore pair of glutes. Glutes aside the food is served quickly on cute, little plates accompanied by an aura of exotic, mouth-watering smells. I’ve been seven times and seven times I’ve ordered the spicy minced-lamb wrap for two reasons. The first, it’s just that good. The second, the menu has a lot on offer, and when I’m offered that much choice I revert to what I know is good… spicy minced-lamb. On occasion I’ve ordered a side of pita and hummus. For all you hummus lovers out there you know as well as I do how hard it is to get a worthy dollop of the stuff. However, look no further for thou shalt be pleasantly surprised by what’s on offer here. I know I was! Be sure to pass by after a hike or a during a visit to the area, with a choice of inside or alfresco you won’t be disappointed. The food’s affordable, the staff friendly, and with the relaxed vibe of Mui Wo it really is a treat.
