Terrible service, slow and unfriendly. Ridiculously overpriced for average quality food. I guess airport restaurants can get away with this.

Time for a Burger again. This time Germanstyle.
The Red Baron got a nice location with a great view over the airport
runway where you can see the planes starting /​landing.
Not too bad isn’t it?
The Restaurante is like every airport Restaurante a bit expensive.
But they are defenitely making great Burger, i enjoyed mine.
The staff consists of very friendly good looking girls.
I would recommened this Restaurante especially for buisness trips.

The German airports I am most familiar with (Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart) are all impressive — new, clean, light etc. But they also tend towards a certain sameness.
Having few hours to kill at Stuttgart Airport, we discovered The Red Baron (Roten Baron) bar and restaurant. This really is an impressive place if you consider where you are. Good friendly service, nice big round bar and comfortable /​spacious seating area. And revelling in its Red baron theme.
I have to say we focused more on beer than food, but it was a much more enjoyable and relaxing experience than most airports. And the loos are just about the cleanest most immaculate I have ever seen. Somebody should be congratulated.
So not a destination site — but if you happen to be there, a good place to hang out.

Eat with Baron von Richthoven !! OK, so its a pricey airport restaurant, but since most travellers will most likely be expensing it, I can say that the selection is good and there’s a nice view of the aeroplanes! The staff were all very young (students?) but attentive and awfully polite. There are much worse places to have your evening meal on the way home.
Have a look at the tipping slots by the reception kiosk on your way out. I think that the fact that each has a name on it and there was plenty of loose change in them is testament to the good service.
