I needed to add some dive equipment(to have my own and stop gambling on the rental gear) — so I went 3 times to get advise and try on stuff. The folks(Stefan and one lady) are friendly, knowledgeable and take their time to explain the gear and find stuff that suits you. I was interested in a BCD with an i3 System and they tried to talk me out of it(in fact, it was not in stock). I was able to size a similar model up and try it, got good tips for the fit. The other time I came to get open heel fins(brought my booties) and tried a few– finally bought a pair with matching steel spring bands. I let Stefan convince me of not taking the split version(have to update this post after I tried the purchase…) but with the perfect fit. It is like buying shoes– you have to try them on and feel the fit. Finally my wife needed a new dive mask with corrective lenses– she found a well fitting model and the lens arrived just a day later. We will take a test dive lesson with them(watch for an update…). So far the shopping went well. However the pricing is on the hefty side, close to the MSRP(and they carry brand names only) The offered the«tax free for tourist» option so this is a plus. The store hours are a bit difficult, only 3−6pm. My personal impression on the consulting is sometimes a bit pushy. No credit cards accepted, only the«ec card».
