This place has very good, very authentic Thai cuisine. Quite reasonably priced. The wine list is pretty good(I had a South African Sauvignon Blanc by the glass, paired well with the dishes I had). Service was not great(we sat for almost a half hour, waiting for our friends to arrive, but no one came for us to order drinks while we waited. The restaurant was NOT busy). I think they specialize in fish, although there’s also meat and vegetarian dishes on the menu. I had a fresh spring roll appetizer(that wasn’t very good), but my dining companions had Thai soups(2 different kinds) and those were very nice. I had calamari in red curry, which was REALLY good. Calamari is tricky, especially in something like a curry, where it will continue to cook as it sits in the warm sauce, and turn chewy and nasty. In this dish it was tender and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were very fresh, and somebody in that kitchen has some remarkable knife skills(the carrot-flower garnish was pretty impressive). For the curry I asked for extra-spicy — and it was REALLY hot.(the kind of hot where you can still feel a pleasant gentle burn in your belly quite a while after dinner is done). it was almost, but not quite, a bit TOO much for me, after six months in Munich and not much spicy food. So order ‘extra spicy’ judiciously.
