Munich Airport “Franz Josef Strauß” – MUC

Con una infraestructura impecable, es uno de los aeropuertos más chulos en los que me ha tocado estar, y es que la perfección bávara aplica para todo lo que hacen. Todo en perfecto orden, salas de espera, locales comerciales, información turística, información de transporte local, wifi, todo es perfecto en Alemania.
Algo que me fascinó fue la iluminación de su banda eléctrica. Es simplemente alucinante. Lo único complejo es que el aeropuerto es ENORME, casi en comparación con el de Ámsterdam, aunque en este caso si llegas con tiempo e informado sobre la terminal de tu aerolínea no tendrás ningún problema.
Otra cosa sorprendente es que a pesar de tener buenos locales, no abundan exageradamente sus tiendas, solo tienen las que deben estar y no están saturadas en comparación a otros aeropuertos. Todo está muy bien distribuido y tranquilo, solo te recomiendo mantenerte al pendiente de las pantallas para que estés en la sala correcta de espera.

I experienced Flughafen München at an odd time — around 5:30am. However at that time, it was all good. Aside from a wonky desk experience with a specific airline, the experience I had with this airport was positive.
The layout is easy and encourages good flow. Security is tight but quick and professional. If only our TSA in the USA could be this way. The process of getting from curb to ticket counter to security to gate is straightforward. The gate area is spacious. The Priority Pass lounge is… decent. The shopping and amenities are… okay.
One downside is that many of the gates are remote — so you have to board a bus to go out to an external gate area. That’s inefficient and annoying.
That said, I’d have no problem traveling through this airport in the future.

Cleanest, chill airport I’ve ever seen… and Rome was pretty great too!!! Try the taps and beer or wine at Lenbachs in terminal L for a treat.

Der Flughafen ist mein Heimatflughafen.
Terminal 1 bevorzuge ich, da die Wege kürzer sind. Leider ist Lufthansa in Terminal 2. Das ist zwar modern, aber leider sind die Wege länger. Für Langstrecken-​Flüge gibt es jetzt ein neues Aussengebäude, das mit einer eigenen U-​Bahn verbunden ist. So spart man sich den Shuttle Bus, aber die Wege sind länger.

Für einen doch recht wichtigen Flughafen erfreulich übersichtlich. Sowohl Abflug wie Ankunft erfolgten reibungslos. Einen Stern ziehe ich wegen der etwas verwirrenden Parkplatzführung ab und weil die Frau beim Vorabendcheckin weder ordentlich deutsch verstanden hat, noch mir mit meinem Problem helfen konnte (und das bei Lufthansa).

This is the most comfortable airport and the best airline on the planet. There are no ifs or doubts or maybes. I had a moment of doubt for a minute and may have flown with BA a few times. Yet I have now been reformed through my frequent flyer status with Lufthansa granting a second checked baggage for free.
I have been on a streak of crying my eyes out while crossing the ocean coming back to Europe since 2013. This is because I am leaving the love of my life each time. Flight attendants have become my bestest friends on these 6 voyages. When I cried during this trip the flight attendants gave me special Lufthansa chocolate that I believe is reserved for this moment. I was also asked twice if I was okay, and reassured that being happy that this is the last time I have to do this is the best idea.
Also, Picard handbags are the new Fossil. I hope one day we can all afford one. There is a corner shop for all fantastic things one might ever want to save money for. I am currently wearing La Mer eye cream, Clinique red spot corrector, I forgot what powder.

Zu groß und zu weit von München entfernt, ansonsten gibt‘s nix zu meckern.

Functional airport, didn’t use of the amenities at all so I cannot review it overall. It certainly seems better than Berlin :)

One of my favorite airport for the tasty food at the Dayllmar Bistro, interesting shopping area in the terminals 1 and 2, pristine airport with plenty of signs and a modern architecture, etc.

One of the better airports I’ve had the pleasure of visiting around the world.
What’s great about this place? The nice shopping area between Terminal 1 and 2 for sure. The abundance of stores and restaurants makes it a pretty decent place to kill time if you’re waiting for an airport transfer to the city. or if you want to pick up any last minute items before checking in your luggage.
The distance to the city isn’t too bad, especially if there’s no traffic (which will cost you about 30 – 40 min from downtown Munich via bus/​cab). The terminal itself is also well organized. It has plenty of shops, places to eat, seating at the gates and even has a convenient smoking lounge as well.
All in all I’m a fan of this airport!

MUC is always great, I’ve never departed on a bad flight from here.
The staff are incredibly friendly, the airport is spotless, and I mean spotless (you could probably eat off the floor), it’s big enough to be vast but not as ridiculous as Frankfurt airport.
There are free coffee/​tea/​hot chocolate machines near the Lufthansa gates which are incredible and clean. The staff is friendly and has a repoire with the frequent business flyers whom I suppose they see quite often. Even the staff working the Security is happy and up for a laugh at any point in the day.
Yes, it is a big airport but that doesn’t mean that it’s not easy to get around easily. Everything is signposted and if you are lost, there is always a member of staff on hand to direct you in the right direction. It is located outside of Munich, but it’s easy enough to reach the city centre by bus or SBahn (Tickets and the MVV are different, and can be confusing but this isn’t what this review is about).

Again. gotta love Germany efficiency! Munich Airport has a great layout, plenty of shopping and dining options too. The bathrooms are plentiful but not as clean as Hamburg’s. It was also weird how they had thick paper towels that you don’t rip off but just blot your hands on and then it rolls back up.
I had a layover here from Hamburg and we got off the plane, into the shuttle bus to the terminal where I had to board my plane. The passport control line looked intimidating but went by quickly. Free wifi here too! Definitely try to go through Munich over Frankfurt if you can help it; much easier layout to navigate.

This airport is nice enough but it is a bit outside of Munich. It is the second largest airport in Germany by passenger volume handling just shy of 40 million people in 2014. It is a second hub for Lufthansa. It is rather large but really not too unwieldy. Getting to and from the airport is straightforward though it is a decent haul from city center (about 30 km). A taxi ride is not cheap. Fortunately, there is a train route that is an option for getting to or away from MUC.
There are two terminals. T1 is the older of the two but even this has only been in operation since 1992 (when the airport was moved to its present location). T1 houses all non-​Star Alliance members as well as Turkish Airways. There are five modules for T1 that are each rather self contained. Navigation is not bad though sometimes one might have to hike a pretty decent distance. The amenities are plentiful and I like the availability of the KLM/​AF Lounge though it can get a little crowded at times.
T2 houses Lufthansa and all its Star Alliance partners (except Turkish Airlines) and is the newer of the two terminals operating since 2003. It is a more centralized arrangement as opposed to T1 and its operations can be complicated by different levels of security depending on where a flight comes from. But it is a nice terminal with a pleasant aura about it.
Check in operates smoothly as does security. Passport control is also reasonably efficient. The boarding processes are well managed and flights generally seem to run on time.
The amenities in MUC are numerous and varied in nature. There are several dining and shopping opportunities while awaiting a flight. The lounges are also reasonably decent and the waiting areas are adequate in terms of space.
Overall, this airport is rather user friendly for its size. It is well kept and is pleasant in appearance and vibe. The check-​in is efficient and the security and passport areas are well run. The amenities are good as there are plenty of shops and restaurants for distraction. Free WiFi is available. The lounges and waiting areas are decently comfortable. In general, I would say that this is one of my favorite large European airports and probably ranks just behind Amsterdam on my list. The only disadvantage is its distance to Central Munich but the availability of S-​Bahn connection makes up for that a bit.

So, I am pretty in love with Munich’s airport. It’s marvelous, especially if you come in via Lufthansa. There is free coffee in the terminal. Not the pot-​has-​been-​there-​all-​day drip coffee — the push to order Italian espresso coffee. They have «napcabs» where you can pay for access to a pod that has a bed and a desk in case you have a particularly long layover. Train access into the city is easy and simple. There’s even a pretty decent shopping center just outside the doors, complete with a Christmas market in the courtyard if it’s the right time of year.
Add in renown German cleanliness, free wifi, and designs, signs, and layouts that make sense, and this is a place you want to have a layover in, and not just because Munich is so worth visiting.

Wenn es schon so viele Beiträge gibt, was soll man noch schreiben.
Für mich ist der Münchener Flughafen mit gutem Zugang per Automobil oder auch per S-​Bahn zu erreichen. Die zwei Terminals sind klar gegliedert. Falls wirklich noch eine dritte Startbahn mal dazu kommen sollte, bin ich gespannt, was sich ändert.
Um sich die Zeit zu vertreiben, gibt es natürlich jede Menge Geschäfte. Auch der Edeka ist mit Öffnungszeiten von Montag bis Sonntag geöffnet von früh bis 22 Uhr rum.
Sehr positiv hervorzuheben sind die Toilette, ich beziehe mich hier auf die bei Terminal 2, die von der PKW Anfahrt Seite sich befindet. Die Räumlichkeiten sind ohne Türklinken zugänglich, außer die Klozelle selbst natürlich. Auf den Toiletten werden auch Desinfektspender angeboten, für die Hygiene. Ich finde, dies sollte allg. auch in Gaststätten und allmöglichen öffentlichen Einrichtungen Standard werden.
Sonst findet man sich gut zurecht, ob mit entsprechender Beschilderung oder Infoständen. Auf Sicherheitsmerkmale wird regelmäßig durch Lautsprecherdurchsagen hingewiesen.

One of my favorite airports. flughaufen München is a vibrant crossroads of Europe. I always enjoy my time here.
I am lucky enough to have hours of layover here and always love having that. Who would thing you would want layover time? This airport makes a layover fun with food and culture to spare.
I always enjoy a good beer and sausage when passing through and really enjoy the wide array of shops and restaurants. You really can’t want for much here.

Bei meinen Besuchen war der Flughafen München an sich sehr ordentlich. Gastronomisch gibt es hier für alles mögliche. Von asiatisch bis bayrisch. Auch preislich ist es soweit in Ordnung.
Wer als Transitreisender ins Ausland fliegt hat auch noch hinter der Passkontrolle die Möglichkeit gut zu Essen.
Einzig die Lage des Flughafens. Mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln braucht man gute 45 — 50 Minuten bis zum Hauptbahnhof. Zu beachten ist auch, dass zwei S-​Bahnlinien zum Flughafen fahren, eine über den Ostbahnhof und die andere über den Hauptbahnhof München.

Beautiful and modern airport. There are a ton of restaurant and shopping options, as well as several airline lounges. Passing through customs is also a breeze.
Helpful Hint: If you’re a Bank of America customer, you can use the Deutsche Bank ATMs in the airport to avoid paying a fee. They are a partner bank to BofA so there aren’t any fees whatsoever. It’s the best way to get Euros.

There are several reasons this airport is a perennial «Top 10 Airports of the World»: modern, efficient, clean, well laid out, excellent shopping/​restaurants, and I could go on. We always get here 3 – 4 hours in advance of our flight, primarily to get one last Bavarian meal and some local bier, as well as some final shopping done. I don’t like traveling, but transiting Munchen Flughafen makes the experience a little more palatable.

One of the best airports I’ve ever been to. Not only is it super modern, it’s clean, efficient and the hours you’re stuck there waiting for your flight can easy be filled with shopping, eating and enjoying some local beers. It’s really great. If you’re staying in the main city, no need to take a cab or hitch a ride. The train goes directly into the airport for your convenience. If you do get turned around, everyone there is super helpful.
From the moment you check-​in to the moment you leave your bags, everything is smooth sailing. I flew with Lufthansa and they had self-​service bag drop-​offs so that multiple people could get through the lines at lightning speed. They even had enough workers there to help those who were computer illiterate so that the lines continued to move.
The things are the airport are on the pricier side because it’s an airport, but with that being said, if you wanted to pick up some last minute souvenirs, they have everything from local baked goods to hand made German steins from Oktoberfest. Everything is affordable and now you don’t have to feel bad for not getting grandma something from your travels.
They make everything as comfy as possible with plenty of seating and free wi-​fi through most of the airport. If you have to move from terminal to terminal, everything is marked with clear directional signs that are easy to understand info in both English and German.
For flights to the US, know that there are three points of security so you give yourself enough time. First you’ll go through the typical security check point (you don’t need to remove your shoes), second is customs, and then before you hit your gate, they’ll inquire about a passport one more time. You might need to have our belongings go through security one additional time if you’re selected as I was. Even then, they did it with a smile.
Big fan and always happy when I’m coming in or going out of it.

You want to talk about ease of transitions and efficiencies, in anything! You’re talking about this airport! Everything and I mean everything was incredible!
Getting to the airport — super easy on the S8 or S1 lines (S-​bahn), You can be from the city centre to the airport in about 35 minutes
Navigating the airport — a snap! Well labeled, well laid out, easy movement between check-​in to security to the gate (our gate was directly in front of the security desk.
Security — friendly, offering service in english and german. And when additional screening was required (I looked suspiciously hobo at 5am), it was quick, polite and very friendly
Customs/​Baggage claim — a snap, bags were waiting when we arrived at the baggage claim
I’ve said enough, if you need to fly in and out of Germany, this is the place to be! It was clean and perfect in every way.

Ein Flughafen halt…
Als meine Homebase natürlich immer gerne gesehen. Im Vergleich zu anderen Groß-​Flughäfen ist München aber wirklich auch gut. Die Wege sind «relativ» kurz — Parken am Flughafen ist gut möglich, aber teuer — Geschäfte gibt es reichlich

«Unser» Flughafen, ich finde ihn einfach immer wieder interessant. Natürlich besonders dann, wenn ich (leider zu selten) irgendwo hinfliegen kann.
Aber auch sonst besuchen wir ab und zu den Flughafen, einfach das Flair zu fühlen und durch die Terminals zu schlendern und die Fluggäste zu beobachten. Zur Vorweihnachtszeit findet im MAC, dem Mittelteil zwischen den Terminals 1 und 2 ein Christkindlmarkt statt. Ansonsten finden hier auf der großen Fläche das ganze Jahr über irgendwelche Ausstellungen oder Attraktionen statt, die einen Besuch lohnen.

Ein Connection-​Flight von Terminal 1 nach 2, das ist der absolute Hetz-​Horror! Und dass es mein Koffer nicht geschafft hat, das war nur die Spitze des Eisberges: Fünf ***** Sterne verdient nur die Lufthansa, die mich schon bei der Landung per SMS darüber informiert hat. Da konnte ich mir sogar die Zeit sparen, auf das Gepäck zu warten: das wurde am Mittag drauf gemütlich per Kurier nach Hause geschickt: sehr gut, Lufthansa! Schwach, MUC :-(

Remember the airport is also fairly large so leave some time if you have to travel between gates G & H to pass through customs/​immigration and security…

Un aéroport bien organisé qui a l’avantage de présenter une offre de shopping hallucinante (boutiques en tout genre, restauration… etc… Avec pour les passagers de la compagnie nationale allemande, un accès gratuit aux distributeurs de café.
Par contre, c’est à se demander si ce n’est pas avant tout un centre commercial plutôt qu’un aéroport; voire une gare routière je m’explique: à chaque fois que je transite par cet aéroport on vient nous chercher en descente d’avion en navette (bus) pour rallier le terminal, avec des trajets plus ou moins longs (pour rigoler j’avais dit à une amie: «on va prendre l’autoroute»?) Je voyage en lignes régulières pourtant et n’ai jamais eu droit (comme d’ailleurs les autres passagers «éco» qui voyageaient avec moi) à une passerelle directe pour débarquer dans l’aéroport comme ailleurs. Sur les autres aéroports ça peut arriver en fonction du traffic, mais là c’est systématique, même avec la compagnie nationale dans son propre pays!

im Vergleich zu Berlin ist das ja mal ein Flughafen. Groß, läuft, man kommt überall hin und wenn man mal was kleines zu essen und zu trinken braucht, geht es zwar auch ins Geld, aber etwas günstiger und mehr auswahl als in berlin geht es auf jeden Fall

MUC gehört zu meinen Lieblingsdrehkreuzen, man schafft eine intern. Verbindung in 30Min … meistens schneller als das Gepaeck … Da kann sich CDG oder AMS mal né Scheibe von abschneiden!
Super finde ich, dass es jetzt überall «free Wifi» gibt.

One of THE best airports I know ! Well organized, adopting to traffic peaks, friendly staff and timely operations. In case of connecting flight delay additional direct transport is provided for long haul flights.
It had also good lounges for all class of staraliance members. Few shops and restaurants. With connections to major we cities and direct train to city center it is one of my favorite connecting flight destinations.

So muss Flughafen!
Übersichtlich, sauber, trotz der Größe nicht überlaufen. Hier macht umsteigen jedes mal Spaß!

Ein Flughafen wie jeder andere, nichts Besonderes. Der Flughafen liegt leider so weit außerhalb, dass man für eine Single-​Karte in die Innenstadt über 11 Euro blechen muss (das find ich als Berliner schon recht teuer!).

Kommt man aus Hamburg ist der Münchner Flughafen erstmal riesig. Hier gibt es alles was das Herz begehrt, mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, einen FanShop vom FC Bayern München (für mich jetzt eher unnötig) & mit dem Airbräu ein flughafeneigenes Bier inkl. Biergarten zwischen Terminals, Car Rental & Car Sharing.
Car Sharing Angebote gibt es in München einige mehr als in Hamburg. Bekannt sind DriveNow und Car2Go. Die DriveNow Flughafengebühr in München beträgt stolze 12 €, eine Stange Geld aber da das S-​Bahn Ticket in die City 11,70 € kostet unbedingt vertretbar. Der Weg ist halt echt weit.
Weit ist im Übrigen auch der Weg vom AirBerlin Terminal zum Carsharing Parkhaus — durch die vielen Laufbänder geht’s dann aber doch recht fix.
Ein Tipp: Wer nur mit Handgepäck reist sollte sich gegebenenfalls direkt bei der Landung ein DriveNow reservieren, die sind gerade am Wochenende recht knapp.

Ich hatte eigentlich das Schlimmste erwartet, immerhin ist München eine Großstadt — der Flughafen kann also nur die Hölle sein. Aber weit gefehlt! Insbesondere der Bereich rund um das Terminal 2 ist sehr übersichtlich, die Wege sind kurz. Besonders gut an Terminal 2 gefallen mir die zahlreichen Läden und Chill-​Lounges. Hier kann man sich super die Zeit vertreiben. Auf dem Weg zum Gate gibt es sogar noch eine PC-​Ecke zum Surfen. Apropos: Kostenfreies WLAN (zeitlich begrenzter Zugang) ist ebenfalls vorhanden.
Happig sind nur wir immer an Flughäfen die Preise. Knapp 9 Euro für ein Stück Tiramisu ist einfach Wucher.

Wie das heutzutage oft so ist– es wird eine Verkehrseinrichtung eröffnet und schon wenige Jahre später ist sie durchaus an ihren Kapazitätsgrenzen. 1992 wurde der neue Münchner Flughafen Franz Josef Straußin Betrieb genommen– und bereits 2003 wurde das Terminal 2 eröffnet. Dieses wird in erster Linie von der Lufthansa und den anderen Gesellschaften der Star Alliance sowie ihren Partnern genutzt.
Von der S-​Bahn aus muss man nur an der richtigen Seite raus und gelangt über eine Plaza ratzfatz zum Terminal 2.
Auf der Ebene, auf der man das Terminal dann betritt, wird man zunächst nicht zu sehr von Shoppingangeboten erschlagen. Aber ich kam ja auch früh am Morgen an, als nicht wirklich etwas los war. Doch so konnte ich alles besser und ungestresst auf mich wirken lassen.
Eine Ebene höher findet man dann eine ganze Menge Schalter– und kann etwa bei einem Lufthansa-​Flug sein Gepäck automatisiert aufgeben. Man mag mich altmodisch nennen, aber für mich ist es immer noch ein komisches Gefühl ein Gepäckstück automatisiert aufzugeben. Aber ich war guter Dinge, mein Köfferchen, das leider für das Handgepäck doch leicht zu groß war, auch später wieder in Empfang nehmen können.
Wenn man die Sicherheitskontrolle passiert hat, dann bietet sich einem eine um Welten größere Geschäftswelt. Zu Apotheken-​, pardon, Airportpreisen kann man Speisen und Getränke zu sich nehmen. Duty Free-​Shops gibt es hier natürlich auch.
Für mich jedoch viel besser: Auf dem Weg zu den Gates der Lufthansa gibt es einige Stellen, an denen man sich als Lufthansa-​Fluggast Tageszeitungen sowie die «Zeit» quasi bis zum Abwinken mitnehmen kann. Lohnt sich also schon, wenn man zwar nur einen gerade mal gut einstündigen Flug vor sich hat, aber «natürlich» viel zu früh unterwegs war. Aber ich wollte mich ja nicht abhetzen. Kaffee for free gibt es auch an einigen Stationen, zudem ist das WLAN ebenfalls kostenlos. Wenn man keine Telekom-​Hotspot-​Flatrate hat, muss man sich registrieren, das geht aber kurz und schmerzlos.
Am Gate selbst kann man recht bequem sitzen– und, was noch viel schöner ist: Es gibt z.T. sogar Steckdosen, an denen man etwa Handy und Tablet noch etwas aufladen kann. Sehr praktisch vor allem, dass hier z.T. auch USB-​Buchsen sind, so dass man nur das Ladekabel selbst reinstecken muss, nicht jedoch auch das Ladegerät rauskramen muss.
Hier ließ sich Wartezeit wirklich gut vertreiben– zumal ich aufgrund der Pressevielfalt nicht mein Buch aus dem Rucksack kramen musste.

Este aeroporto não é ruim, na realidade ele é muito bom! Assim como os alemães o lugar é eficiente, limpo e organizado. Os banheiros tem privadas elétricas, algo que eu como brasileira sempre tenho dificuldade em manejar mas as bagagens estão disponíveis na esteira assim que você desembarca.
Para chegar a cidade, só pegar um trem que está a poucos metros da porta de saída. Vai fazer uma conexão longa? Se você quiser dormir, eles tem hotéis praticamente dentro do terminal. Se você quiser se divertir, eles tem a única cervejaria de aeroporto do mundo inteiro.
O free shop também é muito bom, com preços europeus mas bem grande e com muita variedade. Check-​in é feito rapidamente e o despacho de bagagens também. Queria que todos os aeroportos no mundo fossem como você Munchen.

Relativ gute Übersichtlichkeit mit genügend Shopping und Gastroangeboten. Der Edeka im Flughafen bietet ein riesiges Angebot und somit die Möglichkeit der preislich fairen Versorgung mit Lebensmitteln.
Die Wege von der Landung zur S-​Bahn können sehr lang sein — gefühlt 2 km.

Der US Airways Schalter arbeitet eher ineffizient. Obwohl wir über die Priorityline eingecheckt haben, hat es ewig gedauert. Sicherlich wegen des Paperjam am Drücker für die Gepäckstücke, aber auch sonst war die Dame bei uns nicht so wirklich fix und versiert. Gerettet hat den dritten Stern die Kollegin, welche uns dann am Nachbarschalter betreut hat. Die war echt klasse! …
Jetzt in der British Airways (Oneworld) Lounge beim Ballentine Whisky … Aber das ist ein anderer Post ;)

Ich bin froh. Daß vom Münchner Flughafen so gut wie alle Länder bereist werden können :-) von mir aus fährt mam nämlich höchstens 40 Minuten. Der Flughafen ist zudem auch noch sehr riesig und hat 2 Terminals.
Vom Münchner Flughafen fliegen viele verschiedene Airlines :-)
Handgepäck wird streng kontrolliert (zumindest war das bei mir immer so :-))
Essen und trinken ist da teuer aber was will man machen wenn man auf dem Flug warten darf :-)
Wie an vielen Flughäfen kann man da auch shoppen :-)
Bis jetzt hab ich immer gute gute Erfahrungen gemacht was Freundlichkeit angeht.

Ich finde den Münchner Flughafen toll! Nicht nur wegen dem Mangostin (eines meiner Lieblings-​Restaurants), sondern auch weil alles so übersichtlich ist. Außerdem alles hell, sauber und freundlich.
Besonders erwähnen möchte ich auch noch den Edeka im Zentralbereich. Kaum teuer als andere Supermärkte und er hat 24 Stunden geöffnet.
Neben Ankunft und Abflug gibt es hier noch einiges mehr zu sehen und zu entdecken. Diverse Shops, Restaurants, Bistros etc.
Nicht zu vergessen den Flugsimulator iPilot.
Wer sich auch für das Außengelände interessiert, kann eine Airport-​Tour buchen. Hier kommt man nach einer Personenkontrolle auch zum Vorfeld und kann das tägliche Geschehen hautnah miterleben.
Die Touren sind interessant und kurzweilig gestaltet.
Dann gibt es auch noch den Besucherpark, u.a. mit einem Spielplatz und Minigolf, Flugzeugmuseum etc.
Für 1 € kann man auch den Besucherhügel erklimmen, wo man eine schöné Sicht über den Flughafen hat.
Zum Schluss noch eine Erwähnung: Zwischen Terminal 1 und 2 befindet sich das München Airport Center (MAC-​Forum). Hier finden immer wieder mal besondere Veranstaltungen statt. Z.B. Beach-​Volleyball, eine künstliche Surfwelle, der Wintermarkt oder ein Kinderfest. Lohnt sich jedes Mal!

Was soll ich nach über 400 Beiträgen noch Neues schreiben zum Flughafen München schreiben? Da gibt’s doch gar nichts…
Mein stetiger Begleiter im letzten halben Jahr. Mal mehr, mal weniger. Mal morgens, mal abends. Mal im Nebel, mal in der strahlenden Sonne.
Nach der Landung fühlt es sich als ob man bis zum Marienplatz fährt — so lange rollt die Lufthansa-​Maschine (wenn sie denn mal fliegen…) bis zum Standplatz. Dann nochmal 10 Minuten Busfahrt bis zum Terminal und dann ab zum Kofferband. Genauso lange braucht dann doch auch das Gepäck. ;)
Nach dem frühen Flug habe ich mir dann meist doch noch nen Kaffee gegönnt, um den Schlafsand aus den Augen zu schütteln. Der McDonalds ist da schon sehr praktisch so mitten drin. Der weitere Gang zum Rent a car-​Schalter und Parkhaus sind dann weitere Wege. Man merkt, dass es ein großes Drehkreuz ist — man macht schon so manchen Meter dort.
Es wirkt aber doch gut strukturiert und gut ausgeschildert. Wobei ich sagen muss, dass der Terminal 2 doch deutlich zentraler und komfortabler ist mit allen Einrichtungen, Cafés, Duty free-​Angebot, Shops, Security-​Abwicklung etc.
Der Terminal 1 ist doch mehr auf die Ferienflieger und Billigfluglinien ausgelegt. Alles ist kleiner und gedrängter. Die Sicherheitsabfertigung dauert länger. Der Weg vom Rent a car-​Parkhaus bis dorthin ist eine halbe Weltreise — vor allem, wenn die ebenerdigen Rolltreppen mal wieder ausgefallen sind. Man muss schon gut zu Fuß sein. ;)
Ein moderner, großer Flughafen, der alles bietet, wohin man auch möchte. Die Fahrt mit der S-​Bahn in die Münchener City dauert, aber ist sehr bequem. Wer das nicht möchte, nimmt sich halt ein Taxi oder Mietwagen. Genug Auswahl gibt es dort ja.

Im Grunde hat der Münchener Flughafen alles, was man von einem deutschen Drehkreuz erwarten würde.
Nette Geschäfte, viele Gastronomien, gute Ausschilderungen für den Transit und eine moderne Gebäudestruktur!
Doch etwas unterscheidet ihn doch sehr von anderen und das sind die langen Wege!
Es fängt an mit der Landung.
Der Weg von der Landebahn zum Gate kommt dem fast von Amsterdam gleich. Fahren, fahren und nochmals fahren bis das Gate erreicht ist. :)
Am Gate angekommen geht es weiter, die Wege zum Ausgang oder zum Weiterflug sind lang, länger am längsten!
Laufbänder verkürzen einem vom Energieverbrauch die Strecke, aber zeitaufwendig sind sie trotzdem.
Hat man den Ausgang erreicht bzw. den Übergang zu S-​Bahn, geht es auch schon weiter.
Zirka 45 Minuten Fahrtzeit bis zum Hauptbahnhof muss man einplanen, um endlich in der schönen Landeshauptstadt anzukommen.
Hat man es geschafft und genießt seine Zeit vor Ort, kommt leider auch irgendwann bald der Abschied und der Weg der Retour.
Somit geht alles von vorne los, nur in verkehrter Reihenfolge! ;-)
Trotz alle dem ist München inklusive Flughafen eine Reise wert! ;-))

En plus il est archi propre. Je trouve ça important.
Je conseille évidemment de né pas repartir sans son Bretzel!

Terminal amplia, mucha iluminación y muy limpia. Sensación agradable y lujosa. Todo tipo de servicios. Junto a las puertas de embarque puedes encontrar, periódicos y máquinas de café y bebidas calientes gratuitas por cortesía de Lufthansa. ¡Un placer de aeropuerto y de terminal!

Sûrement un des meilleurs terminaux d’Europe. L’offre de restauration et shopping est très large. Les contrôles de sécurité sont bien organisés et né bouchonnent pas particulièrement. Les salles d’embarquement (une pour les départs Schengen et l’autre pour les destinations hors Schengen) sont tout en longueur et Lufthansa offre le café et les journaux pour l’attente (pour ses clients et les clients des compagnies de l’alliance Star Alliance) (+ affiliées, à savoir Luxair et Air Dolomoti). Wifi gratuit 30mn. Possibilité de voir le tarmac depuis les salles d’embarquement ou depuis la terrasse. Les sièges sont très agréables mais il y a aussi possibilité de s’isoler dans une «bulle» pour travailler.

Petit avis en direct de l’aéroport Franz Josef Strauss. Malgré tout, tout est objectif. Cela fait plus de quinze ans que je le fréquente et l’apprécie. C’est un aéroport à taille humaine avec cependant de nombreuses boutiques sympathiques pour faire du shopping: parfums, chocolats et bonbons en quantités énormes, alcools, souvenirs, vêtements de marques. Tout est donc là. Le petit plus reste pour moi les boissons gratuites aux distributeurs: cafés, thés en sachet, chocolats, les journaux en libre service.
Les stands de restauration peuvent faire envie. Parmi les services sympas, j’ai repéré un stand d’accupression (payant), les camel lounges pour les fumeurs qui sont très conviviaux et propres (mais je né fume pas), les 30 minutes d’internet gratuit qui permettent la rédaction de cet avis.
Enfin, ici c’est propre. Le personnel d’entretien passé régulièrement. On peut aller l’esprit tranquille aux toilettes. Pas de bactéries.
Pour résumer, c’est propre, bien organisé, accueillant, bref allemand et je m’y sens bien.
P.S: Pour ceux qui viennent de France, on peut admirer les Alpes pendant le vol et c’est un spectacle magnifique.

Pues un aeropuerto, como otros tantos, pero bastante pequeño, o eso me pareció a mi, al menos la terminal 1. No hay mucha gente, no hay muchas colas, hay autobuses para ir al centro, que son el triple de baratos que un taxi.
Una vez pasado el control de pasaportes, sólo hay una cafetería y dos tiendas.
Lo único bueno es que ofrecen wifi gratis durante media hora. Que está genial y puedes ir cambiando la dirección de correo que te piden para seguir alargándolo infinito o hasta que salga tu vuelo.

Aeropuerto grande y con indicaciones muy claras. Limpio.

Grand aéroport voire immense très bien mais un hic pas de poubelle d’ou les sièges ont des déchets.

Un peu déroutant lorsqu’on y arrive pour la première fois par les transports en commun. Terminal 1 – 2 telle est la question! Outré cette indication qui fait fortement défaut, et lorsqu’on est parvenu à s’orienter, l’aéroport est très agréable, propre spacieux et relativement bien structuré, particulièrment le terminal 2 où journaux et boissons sont à disposition. Petit hic pour tous les vols après 8 heures et le transit de nuit, l’aéroport est carrément mort: très, très difficile d’y survivre jusqu’à 6 heures du matin.

Aeroport international c’est certain. enorme et permettant les transites sans trop d’ennuis. les fumeurs né sont pas oubliés et une air de détente leur est reservée. le wifi gratuit pendant 30 minutes vous permettra egalement de patienter :-)

Personnel très sympa et serviable. Aeroport très bien organisé, bien indique et propre.

L’aéroport de Munich a toutes les qualités pour vous faire passer sans encombres un «bon» moment. Grand, beau et propre, de nombreuses boutiques et cafés, il n’y a rien à reprocher à ce lieu qui est parfaitement entretenu et où les indications sont claires et compréhensibles pour un non germaniste comme moi !

En arrivant dans cet aéroport, on est surpris par l’agencement.
Déjà, une fois débarqué de l’avion, on rentre par un couloir qui donne enfin sur un centre commercial, oui oui, un centre commercial où l’on trouve des magasins de souvenir, des brasseries allemandes servant divers plats locaux avec les bières qui vont biens, spot de massage, boutiques d’electroniques ou encore duty free (même en sortant de l’avion), mais je doute qu’on y ait accès sans carte d’embarquement en dehors de l’espace de schengen :)
Quand on passé du terminal 1 au 2, on passé par un grand espace couvert dont le plafond est vraiment haut, dont une partie de l’espace est occupé par une gigantesque brasserie Airbraü où l’accueil y est charmant et le service impeccable.
Info local: généralement, le client se place tout seul, un peu pommé quand on né le sait pas ;)
Lors du retour, les indications sont biens faites et on né se perd pas parmi tous ces magasins, on retrouve facilement la porte d’embarquement.
Il y a des espaces fumeurs devant quelques portes d’embarquement pour les fumeurs qui veulent en griller une avant de prendre leur vol.
Pour résumer, il est vraiment pas mal et il y de quoi faire du shopping et se restaurer.

Best airport in Europe!

Au départ de Munich les plus grandes destinations dans le monde un peu comme Frankfort. Facile d’accès en train ou en voiture. 3h30 de Strasbourg. Nombreux commerces sur place.

This is a nice, kinda fancy airport. People dress better. But they sure are serious. Is that how Germans are? I’m German… I’m not «as» serious, but I guess if I was from the motherland I could be?
Haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Germany outside of this Munich airport, but I hope to get there some time.
Oh and Lufthansa offers free coffee.
The guy at the café allowed you to pay in American dollars and gave change in Euro, which was kinda nice. Easy way to get some Euros, too!
