Four Points by Sheraton Muenchen Olympiapark

Four Points by Sheraton Müenchen Olympiapark is within close proximity to a train station and the BMW Welt/​Museum. There are also nearby stores. Whether you want groceries, drinks or snacks. There is a bar in the hotel itself.
Within reasonable walking distance 20 minutes or so there are good restaurants and a self service laundromat. You can do a load and dry for € 8,50.
The best restaurant around is a Thai Restaurant called Rabiang Thai. Their prices are reasonable and both the food and service is great.
The rooms themselves are pretty decent. I had an executive room on the 15^th floor. So the view was nice and it was cool enough out to where not having an A/​C didn’t matter. There is a decent fan in the room.
A few of the things I didn’t like about the room is the way the shower/​bathtub is designed. If you want to even turn on the water and just take a bath you have to completely get in the tub to do so. You’ll maybe see it in the picture. Also, the half glass hinged door. When taking a shower it is unavoidable to getting water all over the place. So if you have the clothes you’re going to change into on the sink it’s going to get soaked.
Another thing I disliked is that they only offer mineral water. Yes, it’s complimentary. However, this is the only SPG hotel I’ve been to around the world that does that.
*Also, if you choose to participate in the Make a Green Choice program; it’ll decline house keeping entirely. You can choose to donate, use up to € 5 for food or drinks or 250 points. Everywhere else I’ve been has been 500 points. I’m unsure if that’s just a Four Points by Sheraton thing or just that location.
I attempted breakfast at their buffet in their restaurant one morning and I wasn’t a fan although my wife was. So you can try it if you’d like, I just wasn’t a fan. I don’t mean to come off as a snob however, compared to the breakfast I’ve been used to at the Le Méridien & Luxury Collection hotels there is no comparison. However, you can see whether it’s worth it. And in my opinion it’s not. They ignored me the whole time service wise. It is a buffet and self service. However, some people were offered and given pots of coffee or tea.
The thing I did like was the closet, refrigerator in the room, beds were comfortable, U.S. style plug permanently attached to one of the outlets on the desk & its location being easy to get to and from.
My major dislike was the rude service of 2 of their staff. The others were polite and professional where as the other 2 were not what I’d expect of any hotel employee.
One of my experiences with one rude employee was one of the bartenders. I saw an advertisement on SPG, that we may enjoy two free brews a day. When I asked she gave a huge attitude and said in an extremely rude way that no beer is free. I would have liked to argue otherwise and show her on the SPG Four Points by Sheraton website but was so discussed with her attitude who’s to say what additions she might have added to the drink.
Next was my wife’s experience. We were checking out early and when my wife went to the lobby to begin the process there was no one there for a little while. Then when the elderly woman appeared she slammed her things on the desk as she was annoyed that she had to deal with anyone that early. My wife then inquired about us potentially missing a Make a Green Choice voucher for the last day and she yelled at my wife asking and talking to her as though she is a 5 year old if she even knew what the vouchers were for and what they are. My wife was flabbergasted with her and I dealt with the remainder of the situation.
I wouldn’t say not to stay there because of my situation, just be aware.

Grundsolides Hotel zwar mit entsetzlicher Architektur im Olympiapark im 70er Look. Irgendwann wird das bestimmt denkmalgeschützt…
Personal ist nett, Parkplätze sind vorhanden, bei der ersten Anreise tut man sich schwer, dann weiß man es aber.
Die großen Vorteile an diesem Hause ist die Lage gleich bei BMW. Allerdings bringt das auch nur den Leuten was die beruflich mit BMW zu tun haben oder die BMW World besuchen wollen. Nein das ganz große Asset: Die Nähe zum Olympiapark Stadio. Man kann es in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen und wenn man rechtzeitig bucht, so kann man sich dem ganzen Troubel bei Massenkonzerten entziehen und locker und gelöst hinspazierten und dann wieder zurück.
Für die Gebote Leistung dem Preis-​Faktor München sind die Raten auch moderat. Wenn ich beruflich in München zu tun habe und auch Selbstzahler bin, dann ist dieses Haus auch aufgrund der Lage zur Autobahn meine erste Wahl.

I stayed here for nearly a week recently. Here are my highlights and lowlights:
–You have to go outside to get to the gym.
–Gym is small but has basics (1 of each bike, treadmill, elliptical, free weights). Machines set up to face outside so you have to contort your body to see the TV.
–Breakfast buffet just ok; does not have very much but is good. Wish there was more fresh fruit. They said it was 10 euro daily when I checked in so I took the option but then they charged me 15 euro daily.
–Towels are very soft
–Small lobby
–Intimate family atmosphere and staff remember you
–Quiet. I never heard neighbors although hotel was said to be full.
–Decent happy hour
–Within walking distance to the underground U3 line. So convenient!
–Taxis came quickly when the called.
–Connected to a few shops offering food, clothes, and basic services like grocery and pharmacy.
–There are 2 WiFi codes– one for the lobby and one for you room. You have to constantly log back in every time you move from one place to the other.
–Very few TV stations in English (1? 2?)
–Housekeeping staff excellent.
–No clock in the room
–No US outlets
–Not much art: art in restaurant strange
–Room had only one picture and some bare walls
–Hallway to room looks like a prison
–On St. Nicholas Day, there was a chocolate Santa outside my door :)

This was another hotel booked by the travel agency for us and it was great! The staff was friendly, the room clean, and the wifi free! I would stay here again as I didn’t mind taking a short ride on the train to get to the heart of Munich.

Very disappointing. Check in was ridiculous. Desk clerk was rude. Seemed like I was bugging her. Rooms are horrible! Worse was the shower. I literally couldn’t take one. The water mixer was a disaster. No, not because of other people using the hot water. It clearly is a maintenance issue. WIFI is horrible but free. The only good thing was the bed and room overall were clean. Poorly executed hotel however. Being the weekend (I checked in Friday to Saturday), management should be on site. However, the front desk clerk upon check out mentioned the manager will be back on Monday. Clearly not Four Points Sheraton standards. The only reason I toughed it out and stayed was the fact it was in close proximity to the BMW museum and welt. Oh and they securely held my luggage until later that afternoon.

Stayed here because they offered an affordable room during Oktoberfest and we were all happy with the stay.
Its location (my guess the result of its more affordable rates) is in an awkward spot in the Olympiapark area. The area was nice but we couldn’t shake the feeling as though it was abandoned after seeing nicer days. Still, there were shops and cafés to grab a snack at. Despite its location, it was 4 minutes from the U-​Bahn for easy access into the city center or the train station.
The rooms were nice. Being on the top floor, the views of Olympiapark were beautiful but you couldn’t see much of Munich. Being in the executive room, the wifi was free and worked well.
The service was nice too. The receptionists were very nice, spoke English, offered us tips on Oktoberfest, and assisted us with the luggage room. Not concierge level service, but the polite greetings were a warm welcome after our previous hotel in Paris.

Hier haben meine Eltern mal 2 Nächte verbracht, Aussicht war echt toll aufn Olympiapark. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, Frühstück war auch in Ordnung, nur der Kaffee hat nicht so gut geschmeckt. Servicepersonal war immer freundlich.

This hotel is located in the old Olympic park area of Munich and close to all the offices and businessness nearby. The hotel itself is average. The rooms are average the food is average and the price is average.
I would stay here for convenience but if you want to see Munich then I would suggest you pick another hotel in town. There is really nothing to do around here other than take a taxi or train somewhere else.

When I first drove up to this hotel, I saw apartments dominating the first many floors of this great hotel. This coupled with the Four Points brand in the USA (lower quality), had me on the edge a bit.
This hotel is on the top 3 floors of this bldg.
The staff here is most helpful with Americans (I don’t spreken zee Deutch).
Clean and most comfortable beds (unlike USA 4 points counterparts).
Its close to a one of the worlds cleanest metro underground lines with a straight shot down to Marienplatz (downtown)

Gutes solides & sauberes Hotel in merkwürdiger 70ies Architektur.
Also das Wichtigste vorweg: Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen, das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Von der Einrichtung her gefühlt ein Stern mehr. Das Frühstück hat alles, was man braucht in guter Qualität, wenn auch die Auswahl nicht gerade begeistert.
Das Hotel liegt in einer eher unattraktiven Betonburg aus den 70ern. Seine großen Stärken sind sicher die zentrale Lage und die optimale Anbindung an den ÖPNV durch die U-​Bahn und Busanbindung in unmittelbarer Nähe. Nach Schwabing sind es drei Stationen mit der U-​Bagn, zum Marienplatz im Zentrum gefühlte 5. Olympiapark und Event-​Arena sind in unmittelbarer Nähe.
Was ich nicht so gut fand ist die Tatsache, dass es sich hierbei um ein 3Sterne-​Haus handelt, der Name («Four Points» und «Sheraton») aber ein 4Sterne Hotel nahelegt. Aber selber schuld, ich hätte ja auch mal genauer hinschauen können :-)

Das Four Points Hotel liegt direkt am Rande des Olympischen Dorfes neben dem Olympiapark und der BMW-​Zentrale. Die Zimmer sind gerade frisch renoviert worden und bieten einen guten Comfort. Die Zimmer liegen in den obersten Etagen des Gebäudes. Wenn man ein Zimmer zum Park hin hat, kann man zum einen Oly-​Dorf und –Park komplett überblicken und zum anderen bei gutem Wetter sehr schön die Alpen sehen.
Das nicht ganz günstige Frühstück ist sehr gut und besonders die Nürnberger Bratwürstchen sind ein Renner.
In der Hotel-​Lobby kann man bei Bundesliga-​Spielen auch mal eine Party verfolgen.
Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Bei mehreren Besuchen hat das Hotel bisher immer überzeugt.
FAZIT: sehr empfehlenswert

Ich war zum Oktoberfest in dem Four Points by Sheraton, welches im Olympiapark direkt neben dem BMW Werk gelegen ist.
Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze in dem Parkhaus, sehr schlecht beschildert.
Die Bedienung an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hat sich bei Problemen umgehend gekümmert.
Das Gebäude ist von außen sicherlich das hässlichste Hotel, welches ich je gesehen habe (70er Jahre Olympiapark halt). Innen wurde das Hotel aber erst vor Kurzem renoviert. Die Zimmer haben Flachbildschirme und super kuschlige Betten.
In meinem Zimmer gab es auch kostenloses Internet, leider nur über ein Ethernetkabel. WLAN war nicht verfügbar, bzw. nur über den kostenpflichtigen T-​Mobile Hotspot
Das Frühstück ist mit 17EUR sehr teuer, deshalb bin ich auf eine der vielen Bäckereien, welche direkt neben dem Hotel sind, ausgewichen.
Die U-​Bahn und eine große Busstation sind nur 2 Gehminuten entfernt.

Für Gäste, die zum Olympiapark müssen, kann es nicht besser liegen. Das Hotel hat die oberen 3 Etagen von vielleicht insgesamt 17. Das ist ein wenig seltsam, aber eigentlich egal. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Bad hingegen könnte mal renoviert werden, das passte nicht zum Rest des Zimmers (das war alles tip top). Frühstück ist ok, es gibt eben das übliche standard Essen.
