Wer Cocktails liebt, ist hier absolut richtig!!!
Gelegen ist es mitten in der bunten Neustadt quasi an der Kreuzung Alaun-​/​Luisenstraße. Es ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und die Musik ist modern, aber von der Lautstärke perfekt, dass man sich auch unterhalten kann. Die «Stars» sind hier die Cocktails. Die Auswahl ist riesig und mit den besten Zutaten. Es wird bewusst auf billige Zutaten verzichtet — das rechtfertigt dann auch die Preise mit 7 — 10 € pro Getränk. Die Bedienungen sind sehr auf Zack und stehen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. So wurde es geschafft, dass ich bei meiner Auswahl stets eine geschmackliche Steigerung hatte.
Es gibt wohl auch kleinere Speisen, die ich aber nicht beurteilen kann, da ich noch keine probierte.
Fazit: absolute Empfehlung!!!

The menu was made out of old LPs. You have to see it to believe it. And the drinks menu was immense. Such is the vibe at Paradox: Books, lounge chairs, darkness…
The waitress/​bartender was very friendly and walked me through all the translations until I found something I liked: A Big Bang Burger! Really gotta love it when a waitress puts that much of herself into her work!!!
The burger was interesting. The meat, by itself, had some sort of a taste to it that reminded me of sausage. Well, this IS Germany. I asked for grilled veggies (antipasti, it was referred to) which was VERY tasty! Garlicky, even! Enjoyable evening.

As we were wandering around Neustadt, the décor in Bar Paradox (wall full of books stacked in shelves, old vinyl records, TV playing abstract art clips, and a money safe?) lured us in for a drink. Luckily, the décor didn’t «trick» us, and Bar Paradox is indeed a cool place to hang out.
Their drinks (and only drinks) menu is immense, and I mean, +70 pages immense! They got it all (they even serve hot drinks like mulled wine and hot Hugos), but what caught my attention was their dedication/​commitment to gin. From that book, 12 pages were just about their ~20 types of gin and G&Ts. I tried their Balearic G&T (Larios 12 gin from Spain, Thomas Henry tonic, juniper berries, lemon and orange zests) and sampled «The Botanist» Scottish gin, and I was in gin delight.
Prices were average (although there was a 12-​for-​the-​price-​of-​11 Kölsch special), and service was ok.
Combined with the laidback environment, Paradox is my kind of bar.

Eine Wirklich nette Bar die Location wurde stimmungsvoll eingerichtet und wenn man lust hat kann man auch auf einem der Sofas platz nehmen. Die bedienung war nett und die Getränke lecker.
