Hotel Amelie Berlin has a good location and spacious rooms. The closest metro is Freidrechstrasse, a 5 minute walk down the road. For a budget-friendly hotel, you really can’t complain. Our triple/3-persons room was clean, it had everything we needed, and the showers were hot with a strong water pressure. We stayed at Hotel Amelie Berlin 3 nights. The hotel employees were not very friendly, but I think that’s just how they are. Breakfast was free each morning 8−10am which included cold meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, breads, granola, yogurt, as well as hot coffee and tea. The wifi was really bad, even if you walked with your phone looking for a better signal, so I can’t suggest for you to purchase it for 5euro/day. You could usually send a text message, but rarely could you send/receive a picture or pull up google to browse. The entire block in which this hotel is located as a lot of restaurants, a few bars, and some souvenir shops; there is also a Bio Company mini grocery store to get bottled waters, fruit, etc for the room. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a budget-friendly option for a spacious room in a great area. Would I say here again? Probably not, but for a one time thing — yes!
