We had a great time, on a Saturday at 10am, tasting more or less 10 diiferent wines (white and red). They were all very different from each other and it was a pleasure to feel the impact of the years or the type of «fût» or the land on the taste…
The Savenière wine is very well known in the area.
The winemaker is a woman and she spent a lot of time with us, chatting about wine of course and even if we don’t know a lot about it, just the fact of enjoying it was enough to have great conversations!!!

Le cépage chenin peut fournir des vins blancs magnifiques ou très acides et décevants. Evidemment, ici, il s’agit des premiers. Le Château d’Epiré travaille remarquablement le vin, et pour une fois c’est une femme qui le fait et elle le fait bien.
Toute la gamme est présente, du sec au liquoreux, d’excellents vins de garde blancs (eh oui j’insiste: de garde) qui iront sur le foie gras, toutes les viandes blanches et la plus grande partie des fromages de France.
