Okay, so I have a Starbucks gold card. I got so many gift certificates, they added up. Unfortunately, NO, your American dollar card does not work in Europe at the Starbucks! My beau must visit Starbucks daily, and it does deliver that abundant feeling of American coffee portion size! The Mocha Frappucinos came out perfectly, especially in the Venti size. This place was usually packed, but the balcony seats are nice for people watching. Prices are about the same, only in Euros, so 5 Euros for a Grande Mocha Frappé. We loved the little expresso cups with Paris written on them, 7.95 Euros for a pair. This particular Starbucks is outside the Louvre, so you don’t need to have entry to the Museum to get in!

Those of you familiar with my minor coffee obsession will know I could never leave Paris without first patronizing… PARISSTARBUCKS! And what a lofty manifestation of the franchise we have here. It seems I’m not the only one curious as to the java tastes of the French, judging by this crammed facility. This, by the way, would be the Starbucks underneath the Louvre(ah, that explains it), a most suitable place to sit with a dark beverage and… ponder. Yes… ponder. I can assuredly say this is the most grandiose Starbucks I’ve visited yet. It’s a double-decker! And the décor, might I add, is exceedingly Starbucks-y. Now for a review of the offerings. Paris iced coffee. I can’t say it’s too great. Oui, this is the Bucks we’re considering, but the brews here are seemingly lacking in flavor. Rest assured, though, your beverage here will not taste«burnt». The only sweeteners offered are sugar and Splenda — nice to see *someone* finally figured that one out. Mehh. No more Paris Starbucks for me.
