The only reason this got two stars as opposed to one star is because it was late and I was starving. McDonald’s in Europe is expensive and cost more than the states. The gentleman behind the counter was polite and was able to converse in English. The french fries were okay and were definitely not up to standards in the states or at the other European McDonald’s I’ve eaten at. My chicken sandwich was absolutely terrible. The chicken was not even white on the inside and had dark coloring. The bread was stale. It made me sick later. My wife’s big Mac was okay. At least her food was decent. The soda did not have ice in it and was not filled up to the top. Would it be asking too much to top off a soda? Yes it would apparently. There were some positives to note, the Wi-Fi worked. The upstairs had a decent view of the street. That is about it. The inside was pretty dirty and filled with a ton of people that were just sitting there surfing the Internet. Most of these people looked very shady. Keep your valuables close while inside.

Whether it’s urban myth or not, I recently read that the maker of macarons for Ladurée stocks Parisian Mickey D’s with their cookies, so I had to buy a box. Six for 4.90 Euros is a great price. They were good enough but not great, and a tad chewy. My favorite flavor was the chocolate stuffed chocolate. There are six flavors total(including vanilla, pistachio and some with jelly filling). I wasn’t really disappointed but I don’t think these are on par with Ladurée.

Clean friendly place. Good breakfast on the side with a café. Free wifi right there which really helped us relook things up.

There is nothing like this in the US. French pastry and European coffee instead of Egg McMuffins. It is cheaper than the French businesses selling the same products. McDonald’s is virtually every other block in the high tourist areas. Free WiFi and things that you can identify from the US mixed with stuff from the local cuisine. Here is a picture of a 7 Euro breakfast for two. Blueberry muffin, croissant, Cappuccino and espresso. Try getting that for 7 Euro at Starbucks or a local boulangerie. 7 Euro equals about $ 9.
